Any screen protectors that actually fit yet??

Have bought a vituiki from the bay (at a cost!) and its simply too long and wont stick down either end. Crap.

Anyone found one yet that fits and doesnt sit on the surround?
 
you will have to wait a while.
All the ones out now seem to be ill fitting at the top of the phone.
I messed about with two but due to bubbles removed.

I know its gorilla glass but it can still be scratched as youtube can testify.
Might wait for the official invisibleSHIELD

I don't really like the looks of those invisible shield though...and the sides are so easy to get dust and stuff on it.
 
Would anyone kindly try these tests...then report back

(1) merge stanley with their screen for 60 seconds

(2) place 7 wood screws in a pocket along with SGS2, then go for a 10 minute run

(3) drop SGS2 from pocket height while running across a graved floor


n.b. Please don't actually test as you may damage your SGS2
 
lol scainer,

im keen to keep it protected but at the same time i look at my nokia with a cheap plastic-easily scratched screen....and it barely has a mark on it. and the marks there dont hinder my use or are visible when the phone is lit-up.

my question is, will these protect-screens help stop it cracking at all if accidentally dropped?
i tend to take care or my shit so scratching the screen isnt really a worry as much as cracks.

*last music festive i went to, EVERY iphone i saw had a smashed screen....still worked so +1 really!....but thats my concern as shit happens.*
 
not a fan of the invisible shields - used them on dhd and desire and n900 but they are very grabby and the finish is poor.

Just to protect the screen from marks im sure the Vituiki would be fine - if it was cut to the correct length!! I bought it from Ebay so fed back negatively. If they come back and ask me to remove it for a refund I wont as I'd rather others didnt get shafted by these crap products...
 
i utube some vids, it seems pretty tough.didnt see one where it did get scratched?

i dont think i'll worry about a screen cover.
i reckon there is more chance of it getting damaged from dropping it over keys scratchin it.... and that damage will happen with or without a screen protector IMO.
 
Got this on E-bay

The case fits well and does not add too much bulk. Its shinny so will go in and out of pockets well. I used one on my Desire for a year with a few drops and all well. Headphone hole a bit small for larger jacks.

I did not hold out a lot of hope for the screens but they were better than anticipated. Went on with no bubbles. There are cut outs at the top but they have not tried to have the small strip above the camera and ear piece. So no silly little bits that never stick!

I brought some separate screens but these free ones were much better. No application tools but a credit card will do.

mind you, cant go too wrong for that price! if it breaks from a drop but the phones ok, its well paid for itself.
 
Hi, I've ordered some of these protectors on ebay and they don't fit. I did just order another one which went around the camera (I.e. it just stopped below it) and those were exactly the same.

I'm currently sending them back as I'm complaining about it, as they were not as the advertised picture and I've got time on my hands.

thats actually a perfect fit where the hole is designed to blur, creating an "overglow" shadowing effect whereby the resulting picture has a nice warm glow.
an "aurora" around the people in the photo can be seen sometimes. it also doubles as a cut effect making it easy to chop the heads of unwanted photobombers who tend to crowd around the SGS2 when ever it is brought out of the pocket and into public view. the easiest known way to get rid of the trouble makers is to throw a ifone under a car or a "hard-to-get-to" place, resulting in them bewildered for some time. then the.....

I guess screen protectors give you peace of mind, but are they at a cost.
At the end of the day, as its new I want it to remain new, but once its
older I wont care so much.

Yeah, I've complained and they said they will send a correct one out.. if it's the same type I will do a paypal claim.

Clearly someone in China has made a container load of them and they're being flogged everywhere...
 
Ive tried another that came with a gel case from the bay and that also is a useless fit.

Seriously how hard is it to come up with one the right freaking size...
 
Nope mind didn't fit 100% shi** quality and also wasn't very sticky. Followed intructions and when I peeled off the 2nd layer the actual screen protector came off with it and got dust inside. Very bad.

This turned up today. Fits perfectly - goes round the Back/Home menu button with no gap and leaves the front camera clear - also (i think) because it's anti glare it's cutaway across the speaker and sensors to the left. Probably the easiest I've fitted on a phone as well - first time, no bubbles, perfectly flat.

It's anti glare so it's got a matt finish that gives the screen a little "sheen" when it's on. I think the clear version of this would be perfect.

Also the Invisible shield - how will it stick the back as it's got a pattern on it?

I've always had a bit of a bee in my bonnet about screen protectors, or at least I have since capacitative screens became common.

I completely accept that gorilla glass is not perfect but I hate screen protectors. As I see it there are three options.

1) Damage your phone. If you don't go for option 2 or 3 this will happen.
2) Put a screen protector on your previously handsome phone and have it transformed, at your expense, into something that looks like it's inside a condom and feels about the same.
3) Be careful with it.

I go for number 3. I am careful and I have never caused any real damage (including bad scratches) to any phone I have owned.

It's very hard to fit a screen protector perfectly. I'm sure that loads of you will claim to be able to do so, but the evidence of my eyes looking at other people's phones is that most people can't. Also you lose the lovely oleophobic coating on the screen which is the best on any device I've used.

It is of course a matter of personal taste, but give me a naked phone any day of the week.

I've got the front only one. It fits but I think it feels very sticky, looking at it from on angle it also looks like orange peel.
