any suggestions for replacing epic 4g system sound? it's driving me crazy.

Epic 4g (1st gen - NOT "Touch" aka Galaxy SII)

Gingerbread ei22 but same system sound it came with android 2.1

Are you looking for a way to change the notification sound, or something to replace the stock tone?

Install Zedge Ringtones and Wallpapers and pick your poison if it is the latter...
 
I'm wanting to replace the clicking transition "system" sound. If you have an epic 4g you know the sound. Clicking noise anytime you back out or select something. Thank you.
 
Sorry, I misunderstood the question.

Under System Settings -> Sounds -> Volume
- Turn System Volume all the way down

Or else uncheck Audible selection (under the Feedback Header).

That should get rid of the annoying clicking sound...
