Help Any suggestions on fixing sluggish/slow reaction on S2.

For the past 2 days my S2 has been kind of sluggish and slow. Like going from messaging and using the back button to go back to the home screen there is a delay. And when opening up the messaging it takes a while to get the keyboard up. These are just examples.

Any ideas on why this is happening and any solution to fixing this. Thanks in advance.

Nothing like the old tried and true for putting the zest back into a device: clearing caches of 3rd party apps/widgets via the Application Manager. Going into the recovery menu and wiping the cache partition. Going into any syncing apps and widgets and setting as many as you can stand to sync manually on demand rather than in the background (check Gmail and Weather and Facebook etc.. also check any new apps/widgets recently installed ).

The recovery area is accessed on your S2 like this:

(Hold Volume Up, Home, & the Power button, continue to hold all three until the screen flashes, then release all buttons) <----- from http://androidrecovery.blogspot.com/p/samsung-devices.html

There is no need to hold the home button on this phone, just volume up and power button at the same time, when you see the samsung logo release the power button.

How do I clear cache and where do I find the Application Manager? recovery menu? Where is that? And what is the difference between a widget and a shortcut? Eeeeeeek (<-----Panic setting in )
