Help Any way to completely replace the lock screen??

i know there are many lock screen apps on the market, but almost all of them are too slow to compete with the galaxy speed, so every time im about to unlock the phone i get a one sec glimpse on the original lock screen and then get the new installed one, so i wanted to know if anyone know of a hack, solution to disable the original and possibly get a more Iphone-like lock screen.

And i dont want to install custom firmware...i like the samsung one with the lock screen exception.

have u tried widgetlocker? that worked great for me, there was no sign of the original lockscreen.. and it has lot of customizable options, and its got an iphone style theme to it, if im not mistaken
 
guys i agree with both of you, i bought it, its perfect!, clean interface, many options, tons of themes..i just wish we could download them from the market but they give you many options,loved the ones from XDA....THANKS!!
 
I agree with widget locker but also try Agile Lock which gives a lock screen like the Htc sense where you can open apps direct from the lock screen. The plus I think it is the coolest looking lockscreen.

you can open apps directly from lockscreen in WidgetLocker as well :)
 
If you ever feel like rooting, you could install Revolution ROM with JKay deluxe themes, and this will do all this for you as well.
 
i got it rooted guys but i love the samsung rom so much...but ok lets say i want to install a custom room, the mos t famous ones i believe are revolution and venomrom... anyone of these has a full screen calling contact?besides better lockscreen of course
