Help Any Way to have Airplane Mode on Timer?

Have you tried blocking mode? I believe that can do what you're looking for. If that doesn't work you can also look into Tasker, though that's far more complex.

Looking in the Playstore, I found an app that claims to do it on a time basis, but the phone needs to be rooted.
Saw another one and was about to suggest it, then saw in the reviews that all it did was give one a reminder to go into airplane mode at certain times.
Other than that, just saw a bunch of widget like toggle apps.
I haven't used it in a long time, but something like JuiceDefender might shut your phone down enough for you in your desired timeframe, if not truly going to AP mode.

I don't think there's a way to get Airplane mode to activate on a schedule/timer (w/ exception to Tasker).
Only other alternative I can suggest (besides the top notifications or the power button, where you can toggle airplane mode) is to get the NFC tiles. I'd imagine you'd be able to program a tag, just to toggle Airplane mode on/off. If you program a tag, you can just place that on your nightstand somewhere and that way you can just touch your phone to the tag and leave it. Then, when you wake up, just touch the phone to it again and you can turn Airplane mode off.

Just realized the app that Mike recommended, in the video I linked, isn't just a simple NFC app, but a simplified version of what Tasker does. Even though I had purchased Tasker, I just haven't had the time to sit down and truly figure out the best way to make it work for me

Save battery by shutting off wifi and network connections.
As I said beyond me. AS FOR NFC tiles it's easy enough to toggle without them. I just prefer it to be automatic. I forget to do it and go to sleep at different time so I don't want an alarm to remind me. It worked on Maxx hd. Wish it could in note 3. Seems like every new android update sucks more than the last. They always restrict more than they add.

Honestly, I think there are some guides about Tasker, I am not trying to praise the application or get on your nerves for still suggesting it, but people will help you there if you don't know how to use it

That app that I suggest 2 posts up can be triggered based on time. It doesn't require NFC tags.
The reason it worked on the Maxx HD is because Motorola has a built in function called "Smart Actions." That's not a standard Google software. That's Motorola's proprietary software (I know they are owned by Google, but "smart actions" is only on the Motorola phones).

Thanks but I have neither the time to devote nor the interest to learn.
Android 4.3 blocks it. There was a time other available apps from market offered this function without the need to program tasker. Now those apps only work on rooted phones.

Okay, but if your goal is to have it turn off all the sounds/notifications, that can still be accomplished.
Phone comes with that built in. It's called block mode. I'm worried about battery not noise.

Are you really worried about battery? I have to try really hard to kill my GN3 battery. In fact...I've yet to kill it during normal use.
Also, not to sound like a jerk, but if you don't have time to learn Tasker, even though several of us mentioned it might work, then maybe you should re-evaluate what you actually care about. Maybe you do not have the time or inclination to learn Tasker, but then maybe you should stop worrying about automatically preserve battery life on a phone with one of the largest stock batteries available. Besides, you can always fall back to manual control if you can't be bothered to learn how to automate a task. You'll eventually waste more time doing it manually, but that ROI might be far enough out that it's not worth it to learn how to automate it.
OK, now I'm scolded for asking for what I want vs what you think I SHOULD want. This (airplane mode on timer) was an easy function available on all android phones before the jellybean "update" (not upgrade imo). If it could be easily accomplished with an app I might wake up with 97% battery (like the hd maxx) vs 91% (what I woke up to this morning. I usually plug in while I watch TV at night and it gets to 100%. Then I unplug and put phone on my wallet upstairs so I don't forget to bring it to work.
I could leave phone plugged in all night. I could try to remember to turn on airplane mode before bed. I prefer the solution I was used to.
I don't like battery saver apps because when I am awake I want bluetooth, wifi, mobile data, sync, and push on all the time. I also don't want to slow down the Super fast processor I paid big bucks for to save battery. Using airplane mode while sleeping Is the one battery saving measure I don't mind tolerating.
I shouldn't have to explain myself just to ask for advice but you've been kind enough to respond so I did. It's not some huge thing. Just a function I miss. The Note 3 blows the Maxx out of the water in every other respect.

I use that every night. Got to sleep at 100%, wake up at 92%. I use it in conjunction with power save mode and blocking mode.
-EDIT- Nevermind. Just saw your response that you don't like battery saver apps. Oh well. Sorry, tried my best to help, but not sure what else I can recommend.
