Any way to only allow screen rotation for keyboard?

Is there any way to get to the landscape keyboard without having to turn on the auto-rotate for all screens? Basically, I like having auto-rotate off, but I will want to be able to use the landscape keyboard when I am typing (meaning the screen would only rotate when the keyboard is up). Is there any way to do this? Thanks.

I have had a smartphone for 2 days now (still finding out how it works) and yes, this is what I also need. I need rotation for typing but I hate a rotated home screen.

Maybe it is possible to turn rotation off for homescreen rather than only on for keyboard?
