Just rooted using the one click (many clicks really!) lol now can I take the ATT boot screen off?

yup you can change the boot splash and the boot animation. Check the xda forums, they have some pretty cool ones over there..

See this - Splash Screen Emporium!! (Post Them, and Get Them HERE!)) - xda-developers and you can install any bootanimation you like - ANY one - by putting the one you like into either data/local or system/media. To put it there, you'll need something like Root Explorer, available for a couple of bucks from the market.
