Help any way to STOP this update message?

Just wondering if there is any way to stop the update message (for ec05) with all of the problems people are having I dont want to update. I am very happy with froyo eb13 from the last update. No problems and the phone works just fine. I tried using startup auditor but that will not work. any suggestions? just tired of seeing the update message popping up all the time.

Someone stated earlier to use Startup Auditor and check off system updates at the bottom.

I personally like the new update. Just make sure to backup everything, do a factory reset and you should be good in case you ever decide to update.

Supposedly you can agree to the update then pull the battery. Never tried it though.

or load an eb13 rom/root

delete asphalt demo after rooting, bam you got rid of a bit of bloat and no more updates

my phone is rooted with eb13 now but it still wants to update. I'll just give the phone to my daughter and buy the evo. dont use the keyboard anyway.
