It looks like sixaxis is not compatible :( or is there a work around or any possible way to hook up a controller to our evo v? I want to be able to play some games with an actual controller! Any help will be appreciated thanks!

same boat as you, whole reason I rooted was to get that working.

DEV told me to try and flash cyanogen rom, but those don't work for our phones atm... I am trying other roms, and kernals, to see if I can get past the error from "ps3 controller app" "can't bind ???" forgot exactly what it said... lol

I know it sucks! i really dont want to ROM unless its stable and even then. I wish it would work with stock rom or If there was someway i can get a controller to work with stock!

You could probably just find an apk of it online, download it to your phone, and install it. It'll bypass the markets "not compatible" issue

That's actually not the problem. The problem isn't that it won't run, the problem is that it can't configure the bluetooth in the way that the app needs to in order for the sixaxis controller to function.

Edit to prevent double post:

I did some research and the bluetooth issue is apparently a known problem with Sense-based roms. You'd need to get a rom without Sense. The one I like is Swagged Out non-Sense (SOS). Unfortunately, there's no Virgin Mobile rom yet so you can flash it but there's no MMS.

Do u have a link for this from?

The closest I got with sense was replacing the bluetooth.apk with one from cyanogenmod. My phone actually recognized a wiimote and paired in bluetooth but unfortunately still would not fully connect via "bluez ime". Maybe a dev could get this working

Juss a heads up. The six axis controller app has been updated and says the fix for "can't bind pipe" is fixed, which was the issue I was having. I no longer have this phone tho. I switched to the galaxy nexus

In case no-one knew Chad's AnthraX kernel has PS3 controller support
This is directly from his Changelog for 3.0.0

-add HID generic drivers (me)
-add HID SONY PS3 Controller driver (me)

I haven't tested this as I don't own a PS3. But it should support all of the PS3 controller compatible apps.
