My Girlfriends Dad went to Best Buy and got one that wasn't made for the Evo, but it's also not huge. It was in the auto section. His works well, would have plenty of room for the extended battery too

I just ordered this one it got really good reviews including a few people who were using it with the Evo I will try to update once I get it and see how it works.

I already had an Arkon Mega Grip holder (same as MikeB78) but it had the seat-bolt mount instead of a window mount. I really like this holder -- it fits and holds the Evo very well.
I just recently bought an Arkon Slim-Grip (holder only), and can verify that it fits and holds the Evo just as well as the Mega Grip, but as the name suggests it offers a lot slimmer profile. It can even hold the Evo in a regular skin-type case, as well as even my Seidio Rugged case. If you have an extended battery, depending on how much of a bulge it causes, you might have some problems with this holder and the Mega Grip would be a better solution.

That particular Slim-Grip window mount is only $15. The only caveat to buying it directly from the Arkon website is that their shipping is a little high. I purchased mine from CarTronics Accessories Cellular Accessory Store - Wholesale to the public and at the time shipping was only $1.22 and got to me in two days. Various venders in the Amazon Marketplace also frequently sell Arkon products, usually for a lower price and better shipping. And there's always eBay.
