Root Any Word Cyanogen Mod?

This is the 1St phone I've gotten to echange roms on because lost my optimus right after installing cm. So just would like experience the ability to change themes.
 
I honestly doubt there will be a cm rom for this phone. Its already gingerbread and until a dev wants to build ics there really is no point in making a gb aosp rom for a gb phone.
 
ics is gunna be a bit far of a strech fo rthis device, not saying its not possible but ics for teh e4gt and photon is 180MB's :/

this phone has about 170MB's in system. not saying we couldnt compress it and hacked it up, but then it loses its cm coolness :P

can you explain a little more about the e4gt, and what about cm9?
 
Im a noob, but maybe a partitioned 6 or 10 class sd card would create the needed additional memory. Dont know the real tech stuff, just a suggestion.

Assuming you move the dalvik and enough nonvital system apps like camera and such it may be possible but not guarenteed and a fried SD card would brick the phone.
 
actually camera is one of teh worst ones, gutta read from sdcard to take the pic, then write to save the image, then back to reaidng to load the app. best for things like calendar and calculator, evenm the email client (how many people dont use gmail anyways)

I know.
Not to mention the pain of hacking the ics camera in. I can almost garentee that the camera would be at least the 3rd hardest thing to get working right.
 
Just a thought here, On the board I mod on androidinvasion.us the is a mod for the esteem that makes the phone use the sd card for system instead of the on board memory. Wonder if that would be possible here? but like was said if card dies so does phone. Anyhow just a thought,

Yeah, that's what I'm doing right now on my phone.
