Root anybody ever use one of these?

Never heard of such an item but I do remember someone linking me to a page that showed how to get recovery and download modes to work again, don't have the link to that page anymore though.
 
Yep, I have one and they do exactly as intended. Just reboot with one in, or stick it in while the phone is off, and it give you download mode. Hasn't got me out of any sticky situations YET, but it's nice to have around :D

P.s. I dont have that EXACT one, I have one made by one of the members at the teamwhiskey forums.
