anybody here sick of gun violence?

I'm beyond over gun violence. A woman got shot in the head and died less than a block from my Aunt's house last week. A family got killed one street over from me a few years ago. An entire family including the baby. And yet I remain unarmed.

And of the three incidents you bring up, how many involved the gun shooting by itself ?

It is just a tool, not unlike any other tool, it is the human factor that makes it evil !

Google John Lot and his "opinion" pieces, along with his recognized literature and background.

You may be surprised.

I was at the Walmart in El Paseo where the shooting happened about a year later. Didn't realize it was that Walmart till a bunch of drivers were talking about delivering loads and stuff
Also been within a mile or two of the sandy hook school shooting.

Are not schools designated gun free zones ?

Maybe we need more useless gun control laws that do not deter criminal/mentally unstable people and their actions, and only affect the law abiding citizens.

What about the USA adopting UK style gun control?

What the US needs to do is enforce the laws that are already on the books.
Chicago, with some of the toughest gun laws in the country, have had 224 killed, so far, in 2022.

Íts a novel idea, but why not keep people that are charged with homicide in jail, until trial, rather than letting them out to kill again.

It's a true statement that when guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns.
These mass shootings aren't being done by lawful gun owners.

but the guns were bought legally.....so this douche bag of a human was a legal gun owner. we need tougher laws to prevent kids from buying such guns. and i do agree that we need to also focus on mental health as well.

Chicago, Chicago, It's NOT my kind of town.

Frank Sinatra's opinion may differ.
