Anybody holding out for WM7?

The river has subsided you may return under the bridge from whence you came.

lol, i'm not the one who brought the PS3 into a phone debate. If you don't want your console of choice mocked, don't bring it up.

Back on the subject of WP7, it will be a success if for no other reason then people will develop apps for it. .Net (and i guess to some extent XNA) developers will be able to develop on it easily enough and there are a lot of them out there (like java programmers and android).

Besides, the previous iterations of windows mobile weren't terrible, they just had terrible UI's. You'd have to load a cooked rom with modified HTC-Sense on it for them to be usable. I don't know how well the new UI they have planned will work out but it'll probably keep a nice little chunk of the mobile pie (whom no-one is dominating currently).

No single system seems to have everything together currently; I'd like to see what Win7 does but if the update from Samsung does appear I'd go Captivate; or Epic 4G.

I am waiting for window phone 7.
XBOX live game on Window phone 7 is very cool!!!
ZUNE software for download music and renting movies are easy to use
Easy to sync with exchange mail and contact

I'm really not understanding where you got that from. So logitech is my keyboard of choice also right? I actually use a Microsoft keyboard and love it. Stating one hardware is more capable than another does not have to be a choice thing. We all know a Bugatti can eat a Mustang. No favoritism just what it is.
With that said yes, let's stay on subject.

Before I got my Captivate, yes I was looking forward to the Windows phones, I quite liked the interface on the Zune that I've still got (but don't use now).
If they were out when my contract was up my decision may of been different, but I'm quite happy with my android.

My last phone used Windows Mobile, and didn't have any problems with it, and I would of kept using it if the battery didn't die on me, but as it is no, it will hardly last through a 1/2 hour phone call.

The first "smart"phone I ever had was the original Samsung Blackjack which ran Windows Mobile. This was a few years back now maybe around 3 or 4? Anyway, I picked one up when they first debuted and immediately was underwhelmed. I he-hawed around too long and Missed my 30 day window to return it. I ended up stuck with a phone that crashed, lagged horribly and randomly shut off on a daily basis. I initially swore off Samsung phones because I also had problems with a Samsung slider before that, but came to find out it was not the phones fault but the fault of the shoddy build of the Windows Mobile OS. Point is I would need to see a couple of years good track record from Microsoft before I ever considered another.

yea the only reason i think i might pick up a wm7 phone to play with part time will be for the fact you can play xbox live arcade games on it and it will have some integration with xbox but the hardware its shown up on so far looks very cheap so im afraid it could go the way of the palm pre launch excellent OS but poor hardware could kill it. but luckily microsoft is licensing the OS so there cost is a much less unlike palm. either way i am eager to have another big player i would very much like to see 4 big new gen OS's iOS,android, webOS, and WM7. (blackberry 6 looks like garbage)
