Anybody tried SPB Shell 3D?

Hi, I came across this App. It seems cool but expensive. Has anybody tried it on their Note? How is the speed and how smooth does it run? Does it consume a lot of battery power? Does the Note become hot easily running this App? A recent comment from the Play Store states that the latest version messes up the resolution of the user. Not sure what that means.. Thanks.

It's nice. I used it extensively on my two previous phones, but not a whole lot with the Note (other than just tooling around with it). Of the three Android phones I have owned, SPB Shell has run best (most smoothly) on the Note.

I didn't run into any resolution issues. It does have a 'Tablet Mode' and a 'Phone Mode,' though, and I wonder if the person who posted the comment that you mentioned had the launcher running in tablet mode.

For the past 6+ months I've stuck with Go Launcher. I just find it to be more versatile than SPB Shell. SPB looks great and has some very nice features, but it is missing some of the convenience features present with other Launchers such as Go and Launcher Pro.

Is it smoother than the stock GB's?

It is a nice launcher(still has a few updates to go IMO for the cost)
Still learning how to customize it. The help that is provided with the download is not very detailed.
It is definitely a battery/RAM(40+mb) hog as it runs as any other app.
Would defiantly be better if it was incorporated into the ROM as most launchers are.
Still awaiting another update-think it has been almost a month since the last one:(

Thanks. Please let us know your experience with the new update later.
Is it very smooth?

For sure:thumbup:
Going to set it up this weekend and see if they did improve battery.
Think its pretty smooth-bit just checked it out for a few last night. More to follow:)

I used SPB before & it was a really nice looking launcher. Still far behind in customization like a Go EX or Launcher Pro. They do have some nice features but I found myself going back to Go Launcher.

I came across another 3D launcher called TSF Shell 3D. The promotional video looks very nice but some users have complained that even they paid for the app, a lot of features shown in the video are not available yet.

I have not gone anywhere near them because you cannot tell from a video or screenshots if it is for you until you can try it. They really need to be able to issue a time limited trial of some sort. There is no way I will fork out that kind of money for something I have never had a chance to try.

I've tried many of the other launchers and keep going back to Go Ex purely because it handles folders in the nicest way.
