Anyone else getting bad unlock screen lag?

Often times when I unlock my phone it's laggy and makes me feel like I'm still using my Huawei Ascend even though I paid out of my ass for this new phone. Anyone else get that? I only have a few apps and kanaidiaeidada's LG optimizer, perhaps a factory reset post optimizer would help or no?
 
Same here its frustrating I mean my optimus was snappier I have try all sorts of apps might try my luck returning the phone and trying a new one
 
me too. sometimes it doesn't even register my touch and i have to put it back to sleep and bring it back again. then it seems to work.
 
Should I try my Luck with a new phone or wait until a ROM becomes available ? There is something messing the performance I have done many factory resets after installing a few apps boom is like lag it's back

My whole phone was lagging. I ended doing a factory reset and so far so good. Something has been slowing the ram done but I have no idea what. Hopefully there's some kind of fix because unfortunately I live an hour away from a corporate store. Lucky me!!

Thanks blaxican... I downloaded that app you suggested and things seem to be running better. Good looking out!!
 
try this app -- FAST REBOOT

it's just a simple green button -- you hit the icon, and it immediately shuts down all processes -- so it's like a soft boot.

it's really convenient -- just hit the button on your screen, and it kills like 90 mb of processes immmediately. it helps the lag time pretty quick.

and it's FREE :D

i have to say i tried this app and was impressed with how much ram it freed up, so i paid for it. now i set it to daily 4am soft boots and its a bit better but still get unlock lag half the time :( makes me oh so sad when my friend's HTC phones unlocks are snappy every time
 
Would it have killed them to up the RAM on this phone? I mean seriously... it's not like it would've made the phone that much more expensive.
 
Ok guys. let me help all of you regarding the lagg you guys are facing...

first of all. i found out the unlock screen lagg is due to LG esteem optimizer. what I mean is the option for you to lock the memory at home is causing the phone to be a little unstable .so all you got to do is uncheck the "lock Memory to home" option found in LG esteem optimizer under memory section. besides that everythiby seems fine with LG optimizer.

However to make the phone even more smoother, I recommend you to download an app called Auto Task manager. That app registerd all the running as well as IDLE apps so it can stop(free memory) them by only locking the phone. you have the choice to select which ones to close and which to leave open .(leave widgets open).

You going to be surprised by how many RAM it'll free and how clean your phone will run each time you lock it.

Yeah I ditched the Opt app. 3 bucks for build prop edits and debloating which you can find the build prop edits all over AF and XDA nothing phone specific. Auto Task manager recommended to download Bomb That Task for rooted devices. Gonna try them out.

I agree with Shiny. do get bomb that task. its more like upgrade ..
 
you are rite. but as i experienced that article mostly refers to the stock related app that the phone run. I like bomb that task because it makes it easy for me to get rid of any unnecessary apps on a click of a button. Also when i want to instantly close the registered apps, i simply lock the phone and Walla! i even forget to close certain apps something so this task "terminator" gets rid of them as well.

i tried not using the task killer and then using task killer then i decided to stick with bomb. after all it's personal reference whether you want or not. but be careful, they are many false "task killers" claiming to do the job but instead they make the phone worse.
 
all you need is to stop using the apps that you have left open. Also, put a pattern lock and see your phone fly!
