The clock that comes stock on the evo when you first get it, the "flip" clock. Anyone else having problems loading the weather?

I live in dallas tx and im not sure if its here or not. The clock will work fine but the weather will dissapear in about 15 minutes and ill have to refresh is manualy. I have the sync set up for like every hour or something. I went to the best buy mobile (not about this, just because i was at the mall) and the lady had an incredible and hers was dooing the exact same thing. She didnt know why ethier.

I was hoping this update we just got through HTC might fix it but it didnt. Anyone know what may be going on??

Yup. I use the stock Android weather widget for this reason. Heck it even shows humidity, %precip, and an hourly temp chart (hit the 'i'); so it is actually better than the HTC weather app. Data supplied by weather.com. Check it out, its 1x4, and do you even need that stupid big clock wasting valuable real estate when you got time in the info bar?

Well, thanks and you may think its stupid but i use launcher pro and D clock with no info bar (because i like the way it looks without it.) Ive always liked the way the flip clock looks/worked and i switch from sense to launcher pro alot because im wierd and like change, and i have my screen set up looking exactly like a droid X on launcher pro so its fun to switch back and forth. Just curious if anyone has seen the same problem. Thanks tho, ill look at what you said.

Yeah, change is good, keeps things from getting boring, but I don't know how I'd live without the info bar.

I have experienced this from time to time mainly when I travel in a plane. I just simply remove it from the home screen and put the widget right back up. Solves the problem

It is a known issue, also ensure that your gps is on. IF its not on the phone doesnt know where you are to gather the weather data for.

Ok, thanks so muuch. Im pretty sure that was the problem. I turned my GPS off to conserve battery life and i turned it back on and it seems to be working. Idk why i didnt think of it lol

Yeah, its only not up on the homescreen. It also doesnt bother me because on my homescreen i have BattStatt and some form of time up and thats all i ever used that for anyways. Makes the screen bigger without it so its bueno.

Really, I need the infobar for notifications, is there an easier way than dragging down on the bar to pull up notifications?
