Help Anyone else having issues with the new Yahoo Mail 2.0.6 App

I have installed the new Yahoo Mail 2.0 App on my Note II three times today. I like the new UI, but there are two major bugs here.

1) Inbox doesn't update automatically. Meaning Push doesn't work. And no way to set a time interval or adjust it. Inbox at this time must be updated manually. Which sucks!

2) When new email arrives the new app doesn't notify. I have of course set the notify to sound, vibrate and show indicator. It does none of the above.

Anyone else experienced this?
 
yeah. also had some issues with the Hotmail app as well. Deleted both and simply added both accounts through the built in email app. Everything seems to work a lot better.
 
I really hate the TouchWiz email app for Yahoo. It's the worst. My inbox shows messages from a month ago. Meaning messages that have been deleted and gone remain on my TW email Inbox. I saw an option that sets the limit to how far back you can go in Inbox and the nearest time is a week. It's shows all emails no matter if deleted or not in Inbox since that time. It's beyond useless. :)
 
I just got a notice a minute ago for a couple of messages I had already read and deleted from my desktop machine two hours ago.
 
OK. They just released a 2.0.2 version of the App that's working good. It now does Push instantly and also notifies.
 
Yahoo mail has stopped working won't accept my password or user name. I'm not referring to the dedicated Yahoo Mail App from the Play Store, but the e-mail section that allows you to view all e-mail accounts combined. :(

I'm getting an error saying my password has been changed. It has not. i cannot even delete the yahoo account off the phone says there are apps tied to it. The only was is to do a total factory reset. I do have a yahoo plus account.

I'm also getting a message telling me the server is unavailable.

Any ideas or suggestions to fix?
 
Got the issue resolved with VZW level 2 tech support. Bottom line is they do not recommend using yahoo e-mail unless you use the dedicated app available from the play store. I had to reset the phone completely now in the process of restoring all my apps.
 
Very annoying. I did not even notice it wasn't working until I logged in on my computer and have 56 unread emails.
 
I spoke too soon. The 2.0.2 worked OK initially for a few hours and now doesn't update the Inbox. Basically Push still doesn't work! What a sham!
 
This thread title should be amended to add "on Verizon". Yahoo email works fine for me on sprint.

My (Verizon) yahoo mail app updated last night and I was also unable to sign in after the update. Just uninstall it then go to play store and reinstall it from there. There is a note on the app that there were problems with the update...... As usual they updated something not yet proven and screwed up what worked jus fine.

The reinstalled version seems to work ok but has a complete different look to adjust to and learn to use.
 
Removed the 2.0.2 and did a clean download of 2.0.3 and still no Push. Inbox doesn't automatically update.

hy i have the same problem, since the automatic update of the email yahoo app from play store. the push is not working. if i go in to the app my emails are there but no notification,no sounds,no vibration, no nothing; they are enabled in the app option. details : i have galaxy s2 i9100 with 4.0.4uhlpz, blvp7 modem rooted with syiah kernel last version the blootware removed with titanium app. maybe somoeone else find a fix for this anoying problem. i realy need push email ,i don't use the gmail,only the yahoo mail so i figured out that yahoo mail app would be the best to use... worked nice untill update 2.0.3.15108. excuse my poor english.
 
My problem is that on my HTC phone I have my business email in Exchange and my Yahoo Mail. Before this last update, I had 2 seperate contact list, now under Yahoo my Exchange contact list showed up and the Yahoo list is no where to be found.

Is anyone else having this kind of problem and is there a way to go back to the previous Yahoo update?
 
I'm also having issues with 2.0.3.15108 on my Verizon N2. I've filed a bug report with yahoo, but haven't heard back. I'd love to hear if anyone gets a response.
 
what a mess! I tried to use the built in email app in hopes of getting push email for my Yahoo account: that returns a "10146: error occurred while adding New Password" when I try to add the account. The addy and the password are entered correctly, so it's an issue with the system.

just a guess, but I think Yahoo is overwhelmed because they very arrogantly at the same time released new versions of their web and mobile email programs. their customer service/tech reps must be overwhelmed.

why do that? why not first release the web version, test it out and then the App. I think Marissa is being too focused on her fame. She just wants flash and splash. They should replace her.

Luckily their new web version, which looks awfully like Gmail is working OK. It's too plain for me design wise, but functionality wise, the paid version of Yahoo, IMO, is superior to anything else on the web. And I use Gmail on regular basis and also on occasion use hotmail/live/outlook too.
 
I filed the report from my phone as you suggested and did not hear anything. However, there is a difference now. This morning I woke to a text message icon in my status bar, that I couldn't get to go away even after checking all my texts. I decided to check my yahoo account and about 10 emails had pushed to my phone. After checking all of emails the icon disappeared from my status bar. So it seems that the yahoo app is using the generic text message icon at this point instead of something proprietary. Not a fan, but maybe its a temp fix. Anyone else see any developments.

Update: Just checked again and its not exactly the same icon, but it looks very similar. Still not a fan.
