So it seems that the yahoo app is using the generic text message icon at this point instead of something proprietary.
How do you delete the email account you setup on the app that came with the phone?
settings > accounts > email
Side note... I'm not liking the Yahoo email app notification icon. It looks too much like the Text Message icon.
doesn't work here either. please leave them feedback with logs enabled, from within the app. thanks.Yahoo updated the app to 2.0.4 and they also claim they took our advise and changed the notification icon to something more distinctive. I have downloaded the app twice now and even restarted my phone before downloading a second time and push still doesn't work.
Unfortunately, the same problem alsoI have installed the new Yahoo Mail 2.0 App on my Note II three times today. I like the new UI, but there are two major bugs here.
1) Inbox doesn't update automatically. Meaning Push doesn't work. And no way to set a time interval or adjust it. Inbox at this time must be updated manually. Which sucks!
2) When new email arrives the new app doesn't notify. I have of course set the notify to sound, vibrate and show indicator. It does none of the above.
Anyone else experienced this?
Unfortunately, the same problem also
why not just use the Yahoo Mail App and disable the stock email?
It's working OK now. The Yahoo Mail App 2.0.4 is pretty cool. I am very impressed with their dev team. We had some issues with it, including the generic envelope notification icon, and they responded within 24 hrs and updated the icon as well and put a "Y" in it to distinguish it from text message icon.
so far it's been working OK.
and of course push stopped working again. wow! it only worked for a day yesterday.
I do not wish to run two email programs!
