Google Places Directory app worked fine until today...I'm getting an error "Unable to connect to server. Click to retry" I uninstalled, and reinstalled the app, and am still having problems. My husband has a Moment, and is getting the same message too.
I had the same issues while on the road yesterday too. Uninstalled and reinstalled and still get the same message about server problems. Great app when it was working.
Is there anything out there that's similar?
i just downloaded the program and it can't find the server either. but i am curious. having never used the program, how does it differ from google maps?
I just found another app that's similar. It's "Where". I don't like it as much as Places, but I'll use it until the Google servers for Places starts working again. I went to the reviews for Places and there were a bunch just recently posted last night about the app not working.
