Anyone else having problems with Sprint TV?

are there better TV apps out there? I haven't even tried the Sprint TV app yet. I opened Sprint directions and it was super clunky, I didn't even think the Sprint TV app would be any good. Are there any wacky fees with it or anything?

No problems whatsoever here. I even turned off phone and turn it on again, put Sprint TV and I am watching game

Mexico losing 1-0.

Mine works fine, I just get terrible audio/video sync issues. Not sure if 4G makes a difference or not... I hoped the world cup streaming ESPN channel would fill the entire EVO screen, but it's just two-thirds -- then again, the servers could be swamped!

Sprint lady also told me to do a battery pull to solve the audio/video sync issues but it didn't make a difference.

Mine hasn't worked all morning. It worked yesterday...but not today. I was hoping to keep tabs on the WC...but...yea, no dice. FU Sprint, figure it out.

ESPN 3 streams online, and you can get "remote access'" with many providers...like Comcast, for example.

Wondering if there system is down that circle thing just keep spinning around and around, plus some other times i just get a blue screen with nothing, i power if off, and even took the battery out still no TV. I'm located here in Westminster, Co.

Just talked to a sprint rep (i am having the same problems) and she said that the evo is having a nationwide sprint tv outage and a fix is on the way

I had Sprint TV on yesterday for a couple of minutes... and a couple of hours earlier today.

The quality on SyFy's Caprica was excellent, other than a <1 second disparity between audio and video on one of the videos.

I came from using the old Sprint TV where EVERYTHING required paid subscription to watch videos. Awesome that there's all that free content now! Oh, and no lags while loading on 3g!

As to people's problems with it... I suspect that the Sprint TV in their area might be down temporarily.

Called Sprint and they walked me through fixing my error 3000. Basically, just go into Menu> settings> applications> manage applications (might take a little while if you got a lot of apps) and scroll down to Sprint TV. Click it and then clear cache and clear data.

After that I had to shut down and remove the battery, then put it back and turn it back on. Worked great after that and I got to watch the Uruguay/France World Cup game :-)

Sent from my HTC Evo 'cause it WAS the droid I was looking for.

THANKS!!! Drove me crazy because I could not watch the World Cup yesterday and Sprint was absolutely no help.

Just one addition, after doing the above, I had to update my Profile (not sure why) to get the TV to work again. After clearing the Data, the Error 3000 went away, but SPrint TV would just sit with the spinning circle. Once I updated my Profile, it worked perfect!

Thanks... C

I'm not able to view anything, I either get "Mobile guide is unvailable right now, please try again later (-1)" or "Unable to load folder, please try again later". Not using wi-fi, tried updating my profile and power resetting, no luck. Not rooted, came from another phone on the sprint network so my number hasn't changed.

Not sure if it's a problem with Sprint TV in my area or what.

I had the same issue. I called tech support and the guy knew exactly what the problem was. It took him all of 3 min to do what he did and all I had to do was a power cycle. It worked immediately. I guess you just need to get the right person on the phone.

Wanted to follow up with you guys that my issue was that the number in my phone listed as my cell number was incorrect. A rep had me change that and another number (msid? or something like that) through one of the unlock codes and now it works. So my ported number from AT&T was the cause after all.

Receiving this error today with Sprint TV. Haven't used in a few days, but it definitely worked before. Hoping it's a Sprint thing, and not a result of installing Fresh 0.3 ;-)

EDIT: wuclan48 is correct. I just called Sprint and got the code to edit the number, it's ##303563#. Hit 'Edit' then type your proper number, then hit Menu, and Commit. After rebooting Sprint TV works again!

This worked for me thanks :)

Sometimes the first attempt at network connection doesn't always work, but I've never not been able to get it up and running in less than 10 seconds and never had a complete failure to connect. I've logged more time watching World Cup and College Baseball than any other function on the phone so SprintTV is one of the best features to me. Oh, that Wipeout episode was pretty funny too.

I'm having this issue on both my EVO on my primary line and my Palm Pre on my second line. Both are giving me the "you are not authorized to use this application" error every time.

Was on the phone with Sprint tech support for an hour last night, we tried everything on both phones but still getting the error. Tried everything in this thread, no luck.

What's my next step? Call Sprint again? I don't think it's EVO specific because it's happening on my second line Pre as well.

I remember last year they had a lot more live channels that were free. I have not able to use it since November because I could never get it to work on a custom rom on my diamond, but they used to have nfl, mtv, nick, msnbc, and other channels live and as part of the everything pack. Now it costs $10 a month for those channels. :( I think EVO users should get some extras since we have to pay that premium data add on.

I fixed it. I drove somewhere three towns away and Sprint TV worked fine there. So while I was there I updated the network settings, now it works at home as well.

Very strange.

Having the same issue - temporary cell number shows in phone identity instead of ported number.

Guess I have to call in.
