Help anyone else losing internal data?

So I searched around... and I don't know if anyone else has had this problem.

So there was this time that I reset my phone like 3 times in a row, trying to figure out the time of the boot. this is after i rooted it. i didn't bother when i didn't.

it would basically wipe my internal storage. my sd card is fine. but the internal storage would be empty.

well i can't figure out why. i recently rebooted and lost all my data again. i mean nothing important cept a few photos but i was wondering if anyone else had weird data loss? I don't lose apps, recent calls, txts, or anything along that line (except ringtones)

oh i power off normally by "turn off phone" not like take out battery or anything like that.

I have had the same issue twice, I started a thread but no one ever replied. First time I just took a picture, went to view the thumbnail and when it opened the picture was gone. Checked the internal storage and it was completely empty. Rebooted and it created a lost.dir but it was empty. It happened again yesteray, just rebooted to clean up memory and when it came up it was wiped again. I called AT&T but they said to call Motorola. They are closed on the weekends, so I am calling tomorrow.

I called Motorola today and got nothing. The first guy had me remove my battery and wanted me to wait until it happened again. After not accepting that he finally got a tier 2 tech who had no clue or ability to troubleshoot. He said to exchange it or wipe the one I have. I am going to swap it out, rather not take the chance since I am in my 30 day period.

Hi guys,
I'm experiencing the same issues.
Did you find any resolution to the internal memory being wiped out?
I just had it happened a couple of times and lost bunch of pictures and apps.
Let me know
thx

I had it happen twice and called AT&T & Motorola and they were not very helpful. I was in my 30 days so I just exchanged it and have had no problems since.

Just lost the internal storage data again, after a reboot.
My only option is to fix the issue myself or send it for repairs to Motorola.
Anyone knows how long they will take to address the issue?

Same thing happened to me. A couple of apps disappeared on me and I had lost several camcorder videos. This mysterious file deletion issue along with the periodic random reboots was enough reason for me to say good bye to the Atrix. Out of all the phones that I've used in the past, I will have to say that this is the 1st one to actually have deleted data. So not cool.

anyone ever get a resolution or call Motorola? Just happened again to me and Motorola says that no one else has called about it.

My issue went away once I took out the SD card.
I haven't put in another one to see if the issues is still there.

So to summarize, with my SanDisk microSD card I was loosing the phone internal storage on a reboot.
Once I took out that card everything was fine and was not loosing internal storage on a reboot of the phone.

Hi,

I lost my data from internal storage as well. My phone switched off during night because battery was empty. Later i found out that my photos and music are gone.

I had Froyo and no SD card.

I performed update to android 2.3 and so far it looks that issue is fixed. I performed 5 reboots and my photos are still there. I will test it little bit more and i will update this post.
