Root Anyone else running the TOE rom?

I have not seen any other posts about people running this rom? Am I the only one running this without any issues "KNOCKS ON WOOD HARD" . If you are running it what are your likes and dislikes about it. All thanks to pip and everyone that put their hard work into getting it out there!! :D.
 
I had no issues myself. I ran it for a little bit. Though, Sorry I don't see the point of running 2.2.1 when you've got 2.3.4 around (Thanks to Isaac).

I didn't get a UIM but, I'd only ran it for like 2 days. Honestly, The vanilla look of stock just is too light for me. I like the darker themes of Icarus, Cm6 and Cm7.

Likes: It's faster than 2.1, It's smoother, and it boots up faster.

Dislikes: It's still that ugly stock color, It's still not 710mhz, and it's got potential UIM lurking.

what she said...i loving 2.3.4, faster and smoother...Metro is 10 steps behind us and they will never get this running on there on...:D
 
The only thing I've noticed about this rom is that i have no problems sending and receiving mms and I have more bars of service now than I did while running cm7. I am receiving items from people I was not receiving when I was using cm7. The camcorder works too...I promise though if the camcorder gets worked out I will be back on cm7 in a heartbeat, I know its not a big deal but I actually use it.

make sure to stick around and check back often cause it could have a fix at anytime...:D
 
T.O.E. installed without a hitch and is running great. Its faster, smoother and better reception. I switched from Icurus to this and love it. CM6 and CM7 both gave me UIM and couldnt get it workin but this makes me love my ascend again. Thank you guys for the hard work.

CM6/CM7 gave you UIM errors??? That is a first.

I've been running this for about a week, and have had no issues. After removing some of the stock apps and installing SD Speed Increase, this is running pretty good. For me this is a better option since I could never get CM6 working. The auto rotate issue kept coming back no matter what i did to my phone.

how does 1 person out of many got a uim error using cm6 or cm7, i think you got mix up or something...there no uim in cm6 or cm7.
 
To everyone still running this rom try connecting to your computer via usb and let me know what happens....;)

Have you connected to your computer via usb and got away with it?
 
guess thats where the uim came from that i got the first day, i had it hooked up to the comp to charge it and was fine until i rebooted the phone
 
No issues while connecting and moving files both directions. The only issue I have is that people I text, are getting dups of my messages. Sometimes seconds apart and others minutes or hours later.

should have work soon as you flash it, you might had a bad flash, might want to reflash and check again...or try putting it on airplane mode for a minute than take it off and see before reflashing.
 
Yeah, I should have done that. I tried to add a new APN with the settings from Icarus, but when saved, it never appeared on the list. Then, I tried to edit the existing one, and then also disappeared form the list, so as of now, I have no APNs. I will download the zip file again and reflash.
