Anyone elses battery life improve after 1st week?

My battery life seemed to skyrocket from the first fer charges recently.

The only change in the phone that I can think of is that I got the wifi password for the stage that I'm working on. Normally on sound stages you get very poor reception.

But I was curious if it got drastically better for anyone else.

Cheers.

wifi helps ALOT. i got 22 hours on battery life just on wifi alone i bout if i went out in public i would have gotten less than half that on 3g and probably even worse on 4g if i had it here

actually its pretty common for battery life to seem like it gets better after the first week. There are a lot of factors. The biggest one is the fact that then new ness has wore off of it and your not on it constantly. Also there is a small bit of calibration for the OS not the battery.

Battery life should never be judged on any device in the first week of ownership.

I have been rotating the OE and the Extended from full to 10% or below and have noticed the drop slows when it gets below 50%.

I've been promoting at least:

3 full charges, then report :D:D

Even in the rom world, you get someone saying that right after flashing it's bad battery life. Common xda response is to give it a few charges, and they are correct. Any of my old 4G phones would be terrible after the first run. Battery stats need to be collected, etc, even on a 100% new phone.

So maybe I should change that to "4 full charges" lol :D:D

i sure have, here are screen shots with about the same usage a day or so after i got it and again from last week

Also agree. Ive been noticing this the past couple days. Seems to be much better.

Mine didnt it seems like, this morning I took it off the charger while mybackuppro was running I checked it after 19m 18s on battery it was at 89% and this was no useage other than the backup. Left home did a few things before getting into work checking the weather adding funds to my GW I was in a strong 4G area but phone was only on 3G until a reboot anyway now at 1H49m im at 65%

Now this is the extended battery. and what is the best way to charge should I take it all the way down to <10 then charge or charge now Ill be at my desk all day. Should I charge with phone off? The only downside is phone is off for 2+ hours it takes to charge

First drain battery's all the way and recharge (and repeat) a couple of times off and then with the phone on. My stock battery was getting 20 hours on a charge by day 3. Got the extended battery ($25.) and honestly I don't perceive a huge difference, for $25. no big deal but phones not gonna last 36 hours or anything. In fact with the stock battery lasting so long your near a charger by then anyway.

I've definitely seen an improvement. Most days now, I'm able to go from the time I get up (5 a.m.) until I go to bed (11 p.m.-ish) and still have some juice left. That's with staying on whenever possible, but without shutting any process down or restricting anything else. I even have my screen on 60%.

Mine (extended for the past week) is better. However, I suspect that the phone is simply learning the specific battery installed. When I went from 0-100% charging, I allow it to sit at 100% on charger for a few more hours, just to teach the phone that there might be more "room to fill".

Mine is even better. A full day's normal usage takes it down to about 50%.

Screen time is the big difference maker for my batter.

After about a week I am okay... I don't use Wifi at all and I am always in a 4G area 2-4 bars and I average about 14-15 hours a day of solid use.

My average day is about 30-45min on the phone, 10-20 text, some web browsing and games.

Yesterday I went to the zoo and I got 14 1/2 hours with the OS taking up 37% and screen 27% as the biggest usages. I took plenty of pictures and movies of my son and the animals and made phone calls and texted etc... Is that great? No, but reality is I am rarely away from a charger for 14-15 hours so if I needed to I can charge at work, home, or in the car.

After 7-10 days I have noticed mine to be getting about 3 more hours of battery life, which seems to be a pretty common theme.

1. WIFI improves battery life dramatically
2. After the first couple of days, setting the phone up, you stop using it as much--and thus, battery life "increases."

I tried putting wifi on yesterday at noon and my battery life was at 35% after 15 hours of use compared to 10% the night before with about the same use when not using wifi.

I have a bum battery or unit. Getting roughly 4 hours with moderate usage on 4G...That is with brightness at 50%, no apps running and all syncs turned off. I can basically watch the battery meter run down.

You might want to get that replaced :/. I am at 3 1/2 hours and still at 91% in a 4G area though I also have wifi enabled.

Have any of you noticed your battery has drained down and then reboot causes the phone to show up with a ton more battery life? Twice now I have powered down the phone at 5-15% left, turned it back on, and witnessed my battery go back up 20-30% of legitimate battery life. See screen shots. Note how the slope of the curve after the reboot matches closely to the slop in the first 4 hours. I was pretty much using my phone constantly, on 4G. Also peep the Android OS Awake time as reported in the Android battery screen versus the awake time reported by BetterBatteryStats. Android thinks the OS has kept my phone awake for longer than it has been running on battery??
