Anyone figured out how to turn on LED when using camcorder?

Hello,

I've been searching for hours and hours trying to figure out how I can get control over the LED in camcorder mode. I thought that Froyo was supposed to address the issue of having an on/off switch for the LED in camcorder mode, but it appears as it Motorola Triumph does not have this option.

Am I missing something? Anyone have anything that works?

I know the LED isn't much for providing light when shooting video, but I'd like the option regardless.

I appreciate any help. Thanks!

It is interesting that for some other phones, using a flashlight app is possible at the same time the camcorder is to get the result you want.

But if I try this with the flashlight apps I have when I start the Camcorder app it FCs.

Not sure if there are multiple ways to lock the LED light programmatically, maybe one of the other flashlight apps will coexist with the Camcorder(?)

I tried using a widget that turns the LED on, and then opening camera/camcorder but both crashed with the light on. Once I turned it off, both opened fine. I'm guessing there's not a way to do this yet...

If only we could shoot video with Google Goggles. That has no problem keeping the LED on. (sigh) I hope someone figures this one out. I don't do a whole lot of video, but it would be nice to have this for some shots around Halloween!
