Anyone get speeds like this?

Since LTE was switched on here in Birmingham, I've had the Bionic, Razr, Galaxy Nexus, and now the Rezound....the Rezound is by FAR the best out of those in my opinion. Also, I've seen the best LTE speeds with the Rezound....anyone else get speeds like this? I'm wondering if it's just my area being new to LTE with less users than larger cities...not complaining at all, just wondering if this is normal....

Those are awesome. I note thats off your 4g. When I test mine I turn off wifi just to be sure those are my true speeds.

these were done at work where there's no wifi...and how would i test mine on 4g with the wifi turned on? If wifi is on, that's what it's gonna use...doesn't make sense
 
I dont know I just usually disable the wifi. At work I get great speeds too. No 4g in my home yet but that's ok.

What area do you live in roughly?
 
I'm in Birmingham Alabama, basically what I'm saying is I have WiFi at home and nowhere else... I've only tested other places like at work where I have nothing but 4G.. I don't test on WiFi because there's no point, I know what my WiFi speed is without testing it. Disabling it wouldn't make any difference since there's no WiFi around at the time anyway.
 
Well thats pretty damn impressive. I didn't mean to upset by asking if it was wifi.

I plan on picking this phone up on Friday. I've been lurking the forums here for a few days now. And I have to say.... I'm pretty excited.

No one is upset... You're gonna like the rezound, im picky and haven't found anything I can really complain about yet
 
Agreed. I have the boot loop but thanks to here was able to fix it Beyond that extremely happy. Picked up an extra 2 batteries 1700mah and wall/dock charger for $25 on ebay so now power is nothing either.
 
I notice my upload speeds are better on average, ~12 but download is slower@ ~30. It's amazing to me how fast LTE is. Just wish I could get a decent signal in the house. Get DSL speeds inside, ~5 down and ~1.5 up.
 
Those are great speeds... I average at around 20 Mbps.

If he was getting 40+Mbps on WiFi i would be floored... average Wifi DL is around 10Mbps.
 
I have been getting consistent speeds that high also. I have been checking randomly since I bought my phone on launch day and still get in the 40's as I did the first day I got the phone. I should note that I am probably 2,000 miles away from you... I am very happy with Verizon's LTE in my area.
 
You're probably getting those speeds because of the infancy of 4G in your area. Just wait until everyone starts getting 4G devices. Enjoy your bandwidth while it lasts!

As far as everyone asking if the reading is that of a Wifi connection, I doubt his reading would be that fast unless he had a lot of bandwidth at home and had a relatively new wireless router (and is sitting right on top of the wifi device). 802.11g is rated at what around 50 Mbps? And that's near its highest throughput for residential routers. If he was pulling that kind of signal at work, he would either have to work for some sort of military installment or some high-tech corporation that needs insane bandwidth. I don't see even 2 Mbps from wifi at work.
 
You are definitely on the upper end of the 4G spectrum from the screen shots I've seen posted here. I'm in a new 4G area as well but have yet to get above 35 Mbs down and 19 Mbs up.
 
50mbps download is very rare so your lucky. 5-12 upload is average around here but 50 download is ridiculous. that's faster than my fios connection. if i had your 4G connection at my home, I'd cancel my internet and just tether.

Yes at my sisters house i can get the same speeds,no 4G at my house,but i have Verizon Fios 35/35,so i get great Wifi speeds on my Rezound at my house,
