Anyone getting 4.2.2

I really wish I hadn't forced the update. The changes are nothing worth talking about and now my phone is jacked up.

What does "jacked up" mean, please? Seriously, I don't know what you mean by that term, but it seems negative somehow.

[edit]Ah, I see now that you are using an automotive metaphor, sorry. My mind is in an Android device mode when I'm in these forums.[/edit]

This method worked like a charm for me the first time. Everything seems to be running smoothly and appears to have solved a weird power on/off issue I was having with the Bluetooth.

Any one has noticed if the camera bug was fixed after 4.2.2? I mean the one that when you tried to take a photo at low light the flash would turn on and stay like that without taking the photo. I took some photos yesterday and it worked well.

My only problem after the frameworks trick is that I can't download apps from Play Store on PC, just from the phone. Any ideas how to solve it?

Turning the phone off and on worked the second time this happened for me. First time I removed and re-added my Google account, that fixed it. Also try deleting Play Store data/cache.

I see 4.2.2 didn't fix the Bluetooth issue with the Nexus 4, I just had mine fail to turn on. A reboot fixed it, but that's not a good enough work around. Google needs to fix this ASAP.

Of course you've submitted a "bug report" so they know about it?

I did rebooted my phone several times with no success. But today it's just working, did nothing else.

After I forced the update I was also not getting push notifications from several apps like facebook, facebook messenger and ebay. I lost some interesting bids on ebay because I didn't get the notifications when they were about to end. Finally solved this uninstalling and reinstalling those apps. I think twitter has the same problem but I barely use it so I don't mind.

I turn on my wife N4 and it got an update prompt after a few minutes later.

I got my N4 last week and click on check for update now and nothing still happen.

Is the update worth it?

Doing the update will kill the LTE.

So there's been news that 4.2.2 has been released for Nexus devices. I'm wondering if anyone has got it for their Nexus 4? I assume that someone would post but thought I would ask.

I'm also wondering if it's carrier dependent? I assume no and the update comes directly form Google?
I got 4.2.2 ota on Saturday for nexus 4, and on Friday night for nexus 7. I'm in the UK.

Is the issue when u try to toggle blue tooth and it just quickly turns off, attempts to turn on and off over and over?

I tried both long-pressing the Bluetooth button in the notification drop down and in the system settings. Both times it would immediately turn itself back off.

Hi.,
As am working with GPS based project.i had check out that output characters.but they are present in mismatch order.because my output started with $ symbol.so please give me idea about my project.am worked with GPS-A10B with EVK1104 demo kit. Please reply as soon as possible.

Followed the advice about clearing the Google Services Framework data and got the update as soon as I got back WiFI coverage on Friday.

Can't say I've noticed any difference other than the ability to turn the radios off from the notifications pull down.

Only took a couple of minutes to install which contrasted with my missus, who upgraded her new iP5 to iO6.1 and it took like half an hour .. and she wound up having to re-enter things like WiFi passwords about 3 times :)

After resetting my N4 the play store works. I did upload all ten gigs of music to Play. That's going to take getting used to. I have feeling I'll need to move some of it back to my phone.

The update is NOT worth the hassle. Reader beware.

Im running AOKP with 4.2.2 and I cant tell a difference at all. Its really not worth the hassle for anyone complaining they didnt get it. Its not like it was in the past the difference between ice cream and jellybean.

when updating to a newer version of a custom ROM, you don't need to use ota rootkeeper to keep root right?

Ive heard of some people losing root privileges but it didnt happen to me. Make sure you do a full nandroid. Do a full factory wipe then install the radio/bootloader and then the ROM/Gapps.

So the BT will not work? I have not updated to 4.2.2.

I find no reason to reoot at the moment as native tether is working. :-)

I got it a day or two after it was release for the 4, not sure really the difference in the version other than the LTE support being gone now?

Don't know where this Bluetooth story has come from: I upgraded on Friday and on Sat I was taking calls via BT in my car so it's working fine for me.

From what I've read, this upgrade is pretty much all behind the scenes stuff - bug and security fixes, performance enhancements etc - so you shouldn't expect to actually see many differences however it is probably worth getting.

It's already been said, but you can long press Bluetooth, Wifi in the settings drop down to toggle them now.

That's about it for changes the user will see as far as I can work out.
