Help Anyone have a Jawbone bluetooth earpiece?

trying to figure out if my Supreme needs to be exchanged through VM.... My BT Jawbone gets off and on static in the audio. It is also suffering from interference... when BT and wifi are on it will stall out wifi data. The BT audio static happens no matter what else is off or on and even when no audio is playing, same headset is fine om multiple other devices.

Just wondering if anyone else can try a Jawbone with audio (Youtube, music ect) before I call to exchange it. Thanks.

That says that it's the phone, not the headset.

The range is probably limited to about 10 feet, though, so be aware of that. Also, firing through the body (phone on your belt on the left side, headset in your right ear) is about at the end of the range of most BT headsets. The human body, waist on one side to ear on the other, is about 10 feet of absorption at 2.4GHz. Testing with a few feet separation on all other devices, but through your body on your phone, isn't a valid test. Use the headset in the ear that's on the side of your body that the phone is on.

There have been a few Class 2 Bluetooth headsets, but remember, that's microwave radiation VERY close to your brain. Class 3, the normal headset, puts out 1mW (1/1,000 Watt), still a decent amount of power if applied to brain tissue. (Of course the distance and skull limit the amount that actually gets to your brain.) Class 2 is 2.5mW - which gives you more range, but is more dangerous. (There's a Class 1, which is not for devices held close to the head, which is 100mW.)

I finally called and after vaving to get a little stern with the rep they finally agreed to replace it. The range on my Jawbone has been fine at about 50 feet through 3-4 walls, but that crackle is always present and gets worse till ot starys killing off the wifi. Hopefully the next one is ok, otherwise have to go to the S3.

If you have the money now then maybe get the S3 now, its $274.99 and sale ends tomorrow. If Supreme replacement works then just send S3 back within 14 days. If it doesn't then keep the S3. Just suggesting this because it seems like you are adamant about going with S3 if Supreme doesn't work.

Actually during the BF sale I bought both the S3 and the Supreme to try them out... returned the S3 because the Supreme is just a better phone. I just got my replacement today and the static is actually worse on this one, but it doesn't have the wifi hiccups while running BT like the first one did using an alternate headset. VM also sent me a brand new boxed phone as a replacement which was nice.

So either I got two phones in a row that have hardware issues communicating to a BT 2.1 headset by Jawbone, or it is a problem with all of them. My other headset is a 3.0 so it may just be 2.1 issues.

Mine does this crap too, with the wifi Bluetooth. I have a ad2p speaker dock and this happens. I like this phone but I'm about to tell virgin to take this crap back
