I'd be curious to hear if anyone can suggest some ideas on how I can raise money to pay for an Evo 3D on release! I've actually been unemployed for a longggg time now and gadgets are my weakness! Although, I will prioritize food and shelter over any new gadget :).

Have fun with this, but workable ideas would be appreciated. :P

P.S. getting a job is a given!

A simple app idea would be great also if there is something on the wish list, especially if Evo 3D related.

Thanks! :D

well, couldn't use the phone in prison. So that won't work. Shout out to Breaking Bad though. A great show.

Lemonade stand. Works like a charm. May take you a few years (say... 40), but eventually you'll get the money:p

As mentioned above. A given! :) I'm sure i'll eventually find work, but thus far have not done so. This post is in the spirit of creating an income stream outside of a work situation. Once I find work the point is moot, unless I get a good idea that can pay for the phone service after!

As such, ideas should be legal :) and if it's capable of covering the monthly bill ...even better!

p.s. I don't really think this will go anywhere, I'm just hoping for some thought provoking interaction. Until I find a job that allows me to go on an overdue gadget spree. :D

On a serious note, the real logical option would be a job. If there were a way for people to just start accumulating money without an occupation, people would be all over it

Ha, I can see it now, customers asking, where are the kids who are selling this? Although a little splash of alcohol might make it take off, but that might (ok, will) put me on the wrong side of the law. Back to the drawing board.

Yes, I am currently in the throws of recent graduate with no experience. Once I get a job I will be upgrading my Hero to an Evo 3D (assuming it's not out of stock) and possibly getting an Asus Transformer. In the meantime, I might really be forced to consider becoming self employed. A difficult prospect for a guy who's not very socially adept! :) Not terrible mind you, just very quiet most of the time.

Lol, I won't be hitting up the folks for any loot. I could always beg street side. I will work for an Evo 3D!

It's pretty simple.

You know this - you can never get ahead financially. It's like a Murphy's Law or something deep like that.

So, to get enough, you have to try for more.

Specifically - your target is to make enough money to get THREE Evo 3D phones.

Why three?

1. Good luck - the 3s match.

2. Things come in threes.

3. You'll fall short - leaving you enough to buy two, tho.

4. To ensure that, you need to pre-build your karma, the luck of threes alone is not sufficient by itself.

5. To build your karma, you need to give one of them away - karma always favors the non-selfish.

Naturally - you'll be wanting to give that second one to me for paying back the idea. In fact - to have really good karma, you'll be wanting to give me the first one.

So, just ask yourself, How do I get enough moolah to buy an Evo 3D for EarlyMon, one for me, and a third one so I can gloat over having a spare - or just in case?

Concentrate on that, and success is sure to follow.

Loving it.

Loving it.

I'm glad. :)

Karma also favors the industrious and the very helpful.

I was undecided on my update date, but if you think about it, you'll see I can be more helpful to the 3dEvo community the sooner I get one.

So, while I won't be needing it right away, for your sake, please work on making mine happen on launch day.

Karma does not favor doing things in half-measures, you know!

You said you were unemployed. What did you do when you had a job, if I may ask?

I worked most recently as a forklift operator. When the recession hit and I was laid off I returned to school and completed my B.S. in computer science with an IT focus. I've yet to work in the IT field though. :)

what you could do, is buy phones that are broken due to software issues off of craigslist. then root them fix software etc... and resell them on craigslist for a profit.

or you can post on craigslist, saying that your an IT guy and will do small PC repairs. im sure in a month or so you could save up the money for an EVO3d
