Help anyone having issues with Pulse?

Pulse has been driving me nuts for probably the past two months. it'll seem to work fine for 70% of the time but then it'll randomly repeat stories i already read, instead of displaying the correct story. this only happens when i'm reading a story and i swipe to go to the next story. even if i back out of the story and load it again, the duplicate story will load. occasionally marking the story as unread will fix the problem for only that story.

anyone else having this issue? it's driving me nuts.

i would also accept an alternative app to pulse.

My only issue with Pulse is I wish it only updated when i open the program and that it wouldn't automatically start when I turn on my phone and update in the background.
