Help Anyone having Wifi problems with new X?

Mine is working now but I didn't change anything. Weird!
I did notice that 3g stayed on when I was connecting and until it goes away the connection is dead. It probably doesn't know which connection to use or something. Once the 3g shuts down it will start passing traffic. BUG?

Many network devices like this use simple routing tables to determine where to send their traffic. When 3G is active the phone likely has a static default route pointing out to a gateway device on the 3G network. When you enable WiFi it has to create a new default route pointing out to the gateway device on the WiFi network. It sounds like the DX either isn't creating this route until the new network path is stable or else it's taking a few seconds for the new route to be recognized.

Thanks for the info.

But mine is acting up again this morning. Connect drop connect drop connect drop...

I'm wondering why 3g does turn off when wifi is on. It would disappear on my Dinc when wifi was on but it seems to have trouble turning off on the X when wifi connects. I'm wondering if that'is what is causing the problem..

I'd test it but there doesn't seem to be away on the X to turn off 3g. You can only select HOME or AUTOMATIC whatever that means ???

Where's that OTA update :-)

I'm also having an issue with my wifi. The router that I'm running is the Apple Airport Extreme. Mine will connect just fine and even load a few web pages but I've found that if it's data heavy, i.e. YouTube or the "wallpaper" thread here on androidforums, it loads about 80% and then just drops even with full wifi bars, causing my YouTube video to just stop and go to a black screen. Very frustrating. I'm hoping someone finds a fix soon! If it's common enough, you'd think that Verizon or Motorola would look into it more.

I'm wondering if someone could tell me if this is the same problem I'm having. My x used to connect fine to wifi, but it almost seems that after the update yesterday, it keeps saying "disconnected." does this refer to the receiver in the phone, or does it think my router is disconnected?

Does it connect then disconnect then connect then disconnect? If so probably is.

I finally got around to looking at this and I found that I was able to keep my connection if i changed to WEP security.

Getting disconnected from my Airport Extreme as well, but only when I'm also using Bluetooth. If I turn Bluetooth off, wifi stays connected. If I turn Bluetooth on, wifi will get disconnected after a shirt time of activity.

...No it doesn't even connect. On the Wifi Settings page, where I can turn WiFi on or off, it just says "connecting" and then after a couple of seconds it says "Disconnected"

never reconnects after that, or even lets me try to reconnect...it just sits at "disconnected"

Well that sounds like a different problem than mine

I have a Netgear WNR1000. When I first got the phone it worked great then it started disconnecting and so on. I put a WPA-PSK (TKIP) on my router and it worked fine but had to take it off since my xbox wouldnt work with it on. And was back to where I began. I got to reading these post and thought of my xbox with the NAT settings, how it is always saying I should have it in open so it works better, so I thought I would try this, and what do you know no more problems on mine, I am running the offical 2.2 Froyo and my fiance is running 2.1 and we both are good to go.

Mine is running leaked 2.2 and my wndr 3700 has me as an intruder. The connection drops and connects and never stops the cycle.

After the update, mine says connected with excellent strength, but I get no data. Using a D-link router which worked fine before the update. Not feeling about messing around with the settings on my router when it was fine before. This is crazy.

After I did the open NAT mine worked fine, and then 10 mins after it started back up on mine but my fiance's is fine and we are both running 2.2 now.

Thankfully my WiFi continues to work great. I've seen no wireless issues today following last nights OTA update!

After reading some posts in other threads, I tried setting my router to "WPA only" security (instead of "WPA or WPA2") and selected "TKIP" (instead of "AES") and now my phone connects and stays connected with Froyo.
