Anyone here running ThundeROM?

I've just updated to ThundeROM 1.6. Pretty impressive so far.
Quadrant score of 551 for ThundeROM 1.6 on my Optimus

Oh, and 165mb app space!

Install Quadrant from the market. Linpack is better but the new location thing or whatever made me uninstall.

It is easy. Just make sure you read all of the sticky posts on android central. There are great step by step instructions and links to instructional videos. Once you root make sure and backup up your system, apps and data before flashing a ROM. I would recommend titanium backup. Good luck.

I finally gathered up the courage and rooted my phone and installed ThundeROM. I am loving the clean look (without the useless "Sprint ID" stuff), faster performance and the loads more internal memory (I don't have to worry about moving every possible app to the SD card). This is great.

ive seen pictures of people that ran thunderom on the optimus s and they can get quadrant scores of 800-1000 but i can only get 611 if im lucky does anyone know how?

You need to install the various buildprops to get your score up. They have links in the TR OP. Specifically flashing to enable JIT and stagefright will give you a rather large jump in your Quadrant score. Just make sure to read the pros and cons.

**Update** Here is the link to a post where you can get the buildprops for thundeROM. It's the Lego ROM thread, but KSmithInNy said they are compatible with both Lego ROM and thundeROM. The buildprops are in post #3 with explanations as to what they all do.

thanks man i like to think my 50 dollar phone can rank with a stock nexus and evo xD

FYI, look here for step by step instructions from one of the thundeROM devs on how to root your Optimus S manually. It's a good learning process especially if you like to tinker.

i got 1106 on mine, but it was clocked at 864 xD i only clock it that high for quadrant tho

I'm clocked at 729. Don't really care a whole lot about Quadrant score :p, just how my phone performs when I use it. I had a friend with an Evo check out my phone and couldn't believe it was free.

I also use ThundeROM 1.8.2 with picasticks v5 kernel and i must say its a stable fast rom. I would recommend it to any new optimus s owner. Im over clocked to 844 with no lag force closes at all

Fyi...ThundeROM 1.8.3 is now available. It is based on the zvd update (you must be updated using the LG Updater tool or rooted on a previous version). I am running it and it is fantastic!
