Anyone install the new android market

I got the automatic update to the new market earlier in the week - I like it, particularly the "related" tab and having the comments in a separate tab.

I wasn't aware the refund window had shrunk but don't much like that.

oh,and Roll Tide!

You are correct. This is a brand new, much bigger update than the one that came out last week. Haven't received it yet myself, they are rolling it out.

Anyone know of the proper channel one can use to complain to Google about the shortening of the eval period?

There must be an email address or webform somewhere... if someone finds it, please share.

I got my update, my first update for the market place actually. I love the changes, seems a lot smoother and it seems to not lag my phone as much when it's installing stuff. The 15minute thing now I think is a bad idea, but honestly I never refunded an app. I've only bought 2 apps ever. I just am a cheap bastard.

i manually updated via a .zip file on xda, i lost it when i flashed a new rom and i got the automatic update today. i almost think the green part at top may be alittle too big but i like it

Remember: if you manually sideload the apk for the new market app, you won't automatically get new updates to the market in the future.

This is the case for any sideloaded app. At least this is what I was told by an app author. The internal ID ends up being different, so it doesn't auto-update.

Last night, I was searching the market... when I closed it out, my Lookout app, said it had scanned the Market and found it to be clean. When I opened the Market back up... it was the new one.

Functionality the same. Just eye-candy.

Oh, come now. You know you use the phone while you're sitting there. ;)

I think the shortened time should be 5 hours. For example, if you were to download a battery saving app, you would never know if it worked at all in the first 15 minutes. Plus, I for one, would like to play with a app and see how it performs after being played and how my phone reacts to it. 15 minutes is just way to short and very un-wise on googles behalf

Got my update today and it looks nice, but there is no option to check updates and when I click on my apps it only lists the apps I've paid for and not the free ones. What's up with that?

Mine shows all of my apps and if an update is available "Installed" changes to "Update".

Really, what the hell is wrong with mine then? All I have under "my apps" is the 6 apps I purchased. This kinda worries me.

Go to your Market application in the applications list (under settings), clear the data. You'll have to accept the license agreement again, but after that, your apps list will be refreshed.

Ok, I tried going to settings>applications>market>clear cache and it cleared, but didn't fix it. I also tried settings>applications>market>uninstall updates and it went back to the older version of the market briefly, but within 2 min it updated to the newest version of the market. It still only lists the apps I purchased under "my apps".
