Just wondering if it is possible for us Rezound users to get the same weather widget that comes on the Sensation XL? I like the idea of having an extra row of apps and still having HTC's weather widget. Picture attached.

I would like that weather/clock widget as well. Maybe there's an apk we can just install?
 
Go to that forum and ask someone to pull the files. Then try it out.the biggest issue might be the screen resolution.

You could also find one of the stock roms and extract the files. make sure it's.deodexed
 
Could try fancy widgets, I don't know if the free version has that layout but the paid does. In some ways I like fw better than the sense clock, which is getting a little stale.
 
Beautiful widgets also has the flip clock....I think there is an option for a single row but I'm not sure.
 
Beautiful widgets have several size options and many clock skins. Plus free through Getjar. I can show some different screens to get an idea of sizes and more than a 100 skin choices. You can also change the text color to what you like for weather and date.

Beautiful Widgets definitely has single row, but I don't think any of their flip clocks actually flip. Has anyone with Beautiful Widgets found one that actually does the flipping animation like Sense?

If so, I will install Beautiful Widgets again because I could use the extra row as well. And I like the flipping animation. :D
 
I just tried it and apparently you need to be rooted. It also replaces the version you have now. If you look at the revision tho what we have is an older revision. O.o

I really like BW as it satisfies the tweeking fetish so many of us have.....they have a bazillion different clock and weather skins. However, their weather component is rudimentary at best. I suppose I could just go with the clock/battery combo but I too like Sense flipping motion on the clock and it's done a tad bit better than BW. So I go instead with the Sense flip clock + Friendstream update and for the weather app I go with Weather, Radar, Alerts, Quakes app which I think is the best in the business.

I don't want the hd widget app. I was wondering what your post had anything to do with my post..? My post was to show that you can do different size and different skins through beautiful widgets. Just trying to help the OP find a possible solution.

Yeah, I am basically trying to see if we can get the exact HTC Sense version of that Clock/Weather widget on our Rezound. I like the animations that come with HTC's weather widget as you awake you phone. I also like how it can go directly into the alarm clock and other options inside the clock. I would prefer the ability to have an extra row of apps if possible.

You get all the animations, rain, wiper blades, snow, clouds, flip clock, go into alarm with beautiful widgets as you do with sense. But I see you want the apk from that certain phone.
 
There's a built-in HTC clock widget that occupied 2 app spaces and another built-in weather widget that occupied 2 more. Put the two together side by side and you have a lazy person's functional equivalent of your desired widget giving you an extra row. HTH.
 
so point blank, no way to get the thinner HTC weather widget on the Rezound?
 
I'm sure some dev can get this ported over and make it usable on the Rezound. I would love to have the official 4x1 HTC clock that way it can link to the sense weather app.

they have this widget over at xda, a cpl developers have it in there roms. i believe the new sense/ics for the rezound has it which you can dl there.
 
Its technically Fancy Widgets that you are looking for. Then you'll have to download the skin you want.
 
guys this is a system app and needs to be placed in the proper folder and given the proper permissions to run. You can't do that without root. BTW the new clean rom 2.1 ICS has it by default! :D
