I sure hope so too! Samsung promised froyo, but they said they won't promise anything further due to possible hardware limitations. From what was listed though, the Galaxy S phones should be capable of the gingerbread upgrade. We just have to hope samsung won't abandon Galaxy S when the time comes!

If they do not offer gingerbread root the phone and get the updates for Gingerbread elsewhere. There are some early verions of Froyo floating around but they have a lot of bugs right now. I've called Samsung and AT&T and don't get a definitive answer on when for Froyo.

I think obe of the reason apple was successed with iphone because their support and upgrade their phone. Hope Samsung do the same with this phone. Upgrade - support and Galaxy S2

samsung will have it ready for ATT by september but who knows when ATT will release it. probably in october or november.
