Anyone lese have LPP problems since update?

Launcher Pro has really gone downhill for me in the last few days. The only change I can think of is updating to v0.8.2. Has anyone else noticed any problems with this update? Switching screens lags big time now, typing sometimes doesnt work (keys light up when pressed but no text it input), numerous force closes, any type of scrolling is very choppy or stops all together.

This all started happening all of the sudden, before that the launcher was awesome.
 
I've been waiting for posts about LP slowing down over the past couple of updates; I had to dump it, after configuring and re-configuring in attempts to get the old snap back.

I'm on a great ROM now, using "the big T" launcher and ADW when the mood strikes me.. both faster than LP now.

I have .2 and I haven't seen any if these problems. Have you tried going into preferences and restarting it?

I guess 1 difference I may have from other ppl though is I don't use widgets well only 2. I have found everything goes so much smoother by just going into app drawer..and I like the clean screen
 
yeah for whatever reason launcher pro is just bad for some people no matter what settings they change. i find lpp really has to be your only launcher for it to work effeciently though...as in dump tw and moving lp to system/app

the rewrite (supposedly due in january) is eagerly awaited as it will be 2,2 based, whereas the current version was based of the og droid 2.0 launcher
 
Yeah I've restarted twice, each time after one of the bigger problems occured (1st time the keyboard not working, 2nd time a force close). The lag swyping across home screens is still there along with scrolling. It's also much slower to unlock.

Frisco - Big T = Touchwiz? How are you liking ADW compared to LauncherPro when it was still snappy?
 
Gosh, LP has been my default launcher for months on end, across two phones.

It has always been the most configurable and the fastest. Those special icons are great. But I can't sit here and wait for screens to come up or watch my Fascinate's performance drop because of a pretty launcher.

I backed up my LP set up and am waiting for more input about the issues after these last few updates.
 
Yeah, I saw some news on that over on the LPP forums, surprisingly I didn't see any topics on the slowdown over there though.

I tested and retested after first noticing the slowdowns about two weeks ago. I even went ahead and dumped everything, everything, and started over in cache and data, starting fresh with a newly downloaded LP Plus.

Everything was fine until I allowed the updates, which Market reported in "my downloads" shortly after newly installing LP. Then the lag started.

So, so long LP, for now.

I might be saying goodbye to Launcher Pro myself here shortly.
 
I noticed FC applets on reboot about half the time, but the launcher was not truly closing.. there seems to be a conflict, resolved by the launcher following the FC prompt, with loading icons, etc.

That was not a true issue for me.

I know that sounded like a dumb question because most everyone knows that you can't do the fb sync once you dump tw, but I was getting crazy fc's and would fix permissions with no help. Come to find out somehow my fb sync got turned back on. So I turned it back off and haven't saw a fc since
 
i usually get the lp fc on boot the first time after i move it to system/app (since i wipe data a lot to try stuff out, this is frequent) but usually only that first time.

Not a dumb question, anything you think might help I'm open to. I dont have Facebook though so I dont think that would be an issue for me.

This is my 2nd force close already this morning and the phone has only been off the charger for about 3 hours.

Anyway to roll back to the previous version without being forced to update from the market?

the lp apks are all over the place in various forums (modded ones in xda)...just google the version # of lp you want and im sure you ll find it
 
No problems here that I've noticed. Still running twlauncher in the background, too (airplane button in notification bar didn't work without it)
 
I just posted a new thread asking about this...guess I should have checked here first!! I love LP+ so much but the last two weeks or so it has let me down HARD! Any suggestions for a replacement. I am spoiled by the scrolling widgets, scrolling dock and other customization possibilities. I am not rooted-yet-so......

You will get all with ADW. Just no calendar Widgets etc.
