anyone not getting the "wow" factor?

Can you please tell us how to have a different wallpaper in the "lock screen" and a different wall paper on the home screen. I have read the manual and searched google.

I dont think you can, I know exactly how to do it on the Droid Eris on 1.5 and 2.1, I cannot figure out how on this, so I don't think you can.

That is a very good question, the settings make it 'sound/look' like you can but I don't see the setting. This is something I would really like to know too.

I got mine today and I must say I hate this freekin phone. This damn thing almost got me killed today while I was walking home from work I couldn't stop playing with it and walked off the curb and almost got hit by a car.

This freekin phone is gonna get me killed. I hate that I'm enjoying it so much.

I broke mine into little pieces it was so crappy. I'll have to get my Versa back from my moms now.

Are there any Droid users that have gone to the Incredible that can give us a Droid vs Incredible review and maybe all the pros and cons. I went to the Verizon store last night and played with the Incredible and other than the 7 screens, I'm not sure what the deal is. I sure do like the car and home docking features and speed has never been a concern with the droid.

I love.. love.. LOVE this phone!!! :D :D

I'm coming from a Palm Treo and I can't believe how far technology has came in just the 2 or so years time that I've had the treo.

I'm not wowed by the battery life so far. 100% to 83% in my 45 minute commute to work today. Can't wait for the extended batteries next week. VZW guy said it will be the same size as the current battery so you won't need a different back cover. Everything else is a definite wow...I can't stop touching it :)

I've felt wowed, but my girlfriend didn't. She just doesn't feel that the phone's as intuitive as her iPod Touch, which I guess is what she was hoping for.

As it is, it's growing on her, but she definitely didn't fall in love like I did.

Coming from a AT&T Tilt and then a Samsung Propel Pro. Both were advertised as "smartphones". Both required expensive data plans. Both are about as smart as a fish eating it's own turds compared to my first evening with the Incredible.

Let me put this into perspective. Myself and some co-workers were having some ribs at the local car wash/BBQ (yes, there's a small rib place built onto a car wash here) and I'm sitting there playing with my phone a little bit. We get to talking about the whole Conan O'Brien Late Night controversy and, of course, Conan's touring show gets brought up. I mentioned Jim Carrey's appearance on the tour recently and they're all like "Oh cool, you'll have to send me the link". So what I did then was tapped my search bar, typed in "Conan Carrey", found the link quickly in the search results, and was showing them the flash video within a mere minute. (granted, I got lucky that the video in question was in a supported format) Anyways, it was sweet. Even though I might have been able to pull it off with my previous phones, I certainly wouldn't have been able to do so in a timely and intuitive manner.

I thought the term "superphone" was a bit ridiculous prior to my Incredible. I don't anymore. Like I've said in a different thread, if phones continue this trend then Netbooks will be obsolete in no time.

I don't have mine yet but coming from a Motorola v710 (go ahead, look it up) I have no doubt that I will be wow'ed. Can't wait to actually get my hands on it.

That would be great...except they're going to sell an extended battery cover with the extended battery, which would suggest the standard cover won't fit.

Hi, I am just wondering if anyone that has already received their phones is not getting the "wow" this is an awesome phone thing? I know there is a honeymoon phase with new stuff. I just thought I would see if anyone feels maybe different about it. I am getting mine tomorrow. I am looking forward to it.

Steve

Its all circumstantial. I am coming from a storm 1 and let me tell you, this "wow" factor isnt going to wear off for awhile...

Ok..I went and got mine this morning from a local Verizon store...it's pretty incredible. Having fun this morning at work setting it up.
