I have an Etymotics Etycom ER-22c wired headset, and it's been hands-down the best headset I've ever used. It really is amazing.
I've used it fine with other phones (iphone, blackberry pearl). But I tried to use this with my Vibrant via an 2.5mm -> 3.5mm adapter, and while it works the outgoing volume seems to be very low. Other parties describe me as sounding like I'm in a tunnel, quiet, etc.
The etycom headset is a bit lower than phone-mic, or even bluetooth mics, but usually is still loud enough and the higher voice quality makes up for this.
Anyone else use a wired headset? Did you notice lower volume? Is there any software/hack to increase outgoing volume on wired headsets?
