Anyone noticed a battery improvemnet after update?

I don't know if it's me.. but I seem to have, not so good battery as of the update...

EDIT.. default GPS was turned on....
 
My upload speed is five time faster after the update. That should mean the transmitter is powered on much less time for the same amount of data transfer. The radio transmitter is definitely a battery hog. Even if no other changes were made aside from the data speed, I'd imagine that there is at least a slight bump in battery life unless you are using wifi 100% of the time.

My battery life went from amazing to garbage after the first update. It's still at the garbage level after this last update. Very upset.
 
For me with my Atrix rooted & deodexed on 1.8.3, my battery has been WONDERFUL! With liitle to no usage in 4 hours, it will only drop 5%. Before, with 1.5.7 and running Gingerblur, I sometimes had to charge up my phone half way through the day.

What exactly is deodexed?
 
Increased potential data speed
Improvements to limit interruptions to data connection

here are the update infos, but apparently the battery improvement wasn't part of it
 
Not sure which update we are talking about here, but I do know that my battery life increased 100 fold when I went to the AT&T store and exchanged my default battery with a new one. (And that was after owning the phone for 2 or 3 days. I became an Atrix owner on 5-11-11 after owning/using a Treo 650 for 6 years.)
