Well, before that game came out there wasn't a single game on that system that looked interesting. If they can make one game that is worth a damn, they can make another. Hopefully it won't be another 3 years before that happens. Atleast my husband likes using it to stream stuff.

Yep, I have a friend who owned a video rental store and he went out of business. He had just bought two brand new PS3's and gave it to me for such a cheap price because I am a friend and he just wanted to get something from it. LOL

I think it's a bold statement, but as I am playing through these games, it might also be one that I agree with. It's been so long since a game was so much fun. The graphics caught my eye, but the game play has made me want to participate rather than just watch a movie of it. I've got a long way to go to be able to claim to have experienced even a fraction of the content but it is truly impressive to me.
In my defense, I did state that that was in my opinion. However, I am a bold person and make bold statements (even when they are just my opinion).
I have played Halo (all of them) and yes they were good games, but not one was as much fun as GoW. I have played Gears of War (both of them) and again, yes they were good games, but not as fun as GoW. I could go on and on like this, but am just really don't feel like doing it.
GoW is, IMO, the best game series ever because it incorporates awesome game play and adventure right into the story. The bosses and battles are great. The puzzles, even better. I have played the first two games through at least 25-30 times each. I have never been able to play a game that many times all the way through and not get sick of it.
Again, this is all my opinion. I cannot speak for anyone else because I have no right to. But, IMO, GoW is the best game series ever!

a co-worker saw GOW3 reduced online and asked my opinion which was its great but you need to really play GOW 1&2 so you really know whats going on

I really wasn't interested in GOW3 until I tried it at my boyfriend's house the other day. Just...WOW. That game is GORGEOUS and I really wanted to swipe his copy and lock myself in my room until I finished the game.
I bought a PS3 really because of LittleBigPlanet. I don't regret my decision at all.

It's an immense game, some of the best graphics seen on ANY console to date, and better IMHO than Uncharted2 (which was also immense).
Who is buying a PS3 for one game? There are Tonnes of PS3 exclusives that are truely immense. Anyone that considers themselves are real gamer should have a PS3...
