Help Anyone Removed Verizon Branding?

Iam918

Has anyone successfully removed the Verizon (check/wording) branding @ top under the speaker yet?

If so how did you do it?

If Sugar method, did it leave any scratches (small, large, only noticeable under sunlight, none)?

Am looking at doing this when I get my Steinheil's in for a cleaner look. Any help/tips would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Isn't the branding under the screen?

Doesn't appear to be so when looking at it thru my zagg, but it's possible. I'd have to take the zagg off to get a closer look.

I won't taking it off until the Steinheil's arrive though, so it'll be a few days before I'd be able to verify that.

Personally, I don't like advertising for anyone w/o getting paid. :)

Other than that, I've a slight OCD problem and must have things clean looking. You have no idea how much this makes me twitch every time I see it.

You could try the sugar cube trick that is posted on a few sites. Apparently, it is rough enough to remove the branding but not scratch the glass or remove the special coating over the glass. If it doesn't work, you aren't out anything but a sugar cube.

It does look like it's under the glass, but I agree, I think the phone would look more slick if it wasn't there...

I wish they would have kept the hTc up on top instead, but oh well. ONE thing I dislike about the design on this phone is how much it resembles the apple phone, especially when it has the clear case from vzw on:

Then you probaly would really twitch if I told you that I am watching you right now!!!

See!!! You just just laughed, shrungged and now looked over your shoulder!

You have no clue who I am, do you? But I'm watching you - as I type this!

:D

Usually every device you buy @ a subsidized price is going to have some branding. I know the EVO, Hero, and moment as well as the Moto Droid and Eris all have branding. I'm not sure if the T-mobile N1 has any on the front.

P.S Those clear hard cases are soooo 1990 :D lol...
