anyone running ART?

would love to hear some experiences, specifically any apps that don't yet get along with it.

i have it going, and i'm digging it....except it isn't playing nicely with the play store...which sort of is an important app. everything else it seems quite snappy, though it took forever for apps to optimize on my first reboot.

Which device are you using? I use ART on my Nexus 4 and it has no problem with any app I use - including of course the Play Store app.

Play store worked fine for me. In fact the only thing that wont run on it is Xposed Framework which is a shame.
ART is still experimental but aparently it will be the default run time in the next android version

I've been running art on my N4 and haven't had any issues or found any conflicts with apps. Everything seems much snappier and my battery life has been fantastic.

play store is working fine for me today. not sure what that was about.

i am running ART on a n7 2012. i couldn't figure out how to get ART but with a custom rom, so i went that route. i was perfectly happy simply running 4.4.2 with xposed modules, but was sort of anxious to give ART a try, and the custom rom had it.

very curious how battery life is affected.

Cool id like to try ART on my 2012 n7 (grouper). I dont understand why it wasnt included in stock
What rom are you using?
Does it help with that "stutter" when scrolling?

the rom is a paranoid android based beta

[ROM][SaberMod][AOSPA] AOSPAL - Paranoid SaberDroid - kitkat-remix & vanilla [Feb-22][BETA-6] - xda-developers

the stutter is still there, though i'm thinking it is a bit less...wishful placebo effect thinking?? i'm thinking the stutter is more a function of ram though.

am definitely noticing the much quicker launching of apps.

i'll keep an eye on the stutter and let you know. i only installed the rom last night, and quite frankly i use mostly the least intensive apps you could ever use...chess, ereading.

Thanks mate.
Ive just went back to ART on my phone. The kitkat roms finally have enough features that i think i can do without xposed. Ill see :)
Ill maybe give pa a go on the tab
