Root Anyone seeing issues with Volume changing itself?

its the oddest thing ... my volume keeps maxing itself out!

Im on CM7 nightlies, the last one they let out. But this has been since the prev build i had also (like 230)

It also changes my in-call volume to max some times!

is my phone possessed? Is this hardware or software? Where do i begin to diagnose?

i also notice now if i tap the volume-up button just one time, it acts as if im holding my finger on it ... it maxes the volume.

oddly, the volume level indicator doesnt go away! It stays on screen until i hit the vol-down button

Sounds like the button is dirty and getting stuck. I'd make a nandroid and try another completely different rom and see if the problem persists.
