Anyone taking it back tomorrow?

OK..one more quick comparison. If the G Nex has pen tile.... its harder to tell on the G Nex vs. the RAZR. doesn't make the RAZR screen bad. And the kicker...if I hold them both at my normal viewing distance they both look identical as far as sharpness.

I can only tell the difference if I hold both closer than normal. Haven't tried the YouTube app red letters test yet.

Pretty much what I thought as well. You can only tell from close up.

Returned mine for Gnex yesterday- I won't be looking back. Razr was my first Android- came from ip4. Loved the build of the Moto- and the form factor is still the best out there for now. Once the newness wore off, there were too many issues I couldn't live with. The constant signal cycling, weak Wifi reception, bluetooth issues, horrible battery, and awful camera. After my 1st day with the Gnex I can honestly say that (so far) it's a much better unit(for me).
1-Camera is much nicer- low light pics on the Razr were bad. Shutter speed too slow, and trying to use the flash was a joke. I just had a baby and having quick access to a decent cam is important to me.
2-Wifi reception is much better
3- I've had no reception or cycling issues even in the weakest signal areas for me.
4- Battery life is actually better- even on the phone's first charge.
5- ICS- much smoother experience.

I'm sure I'll develop some complaints with the Gnex- It's not perfect. I am glad that I made the switch though before being welded to the Razr for 2 years.

I just upgraded last night from a Droid X to the Razr. So far, so good. Like modding my phone a little bit, but nothing crazy. So far, I'm very happy with my Razr. Better be, it needs to last 2 years now!

switch to the nexus.

the razr is a good phone, but the GN is better. especially considering they're the same price.

If it is better for you, we are all happy for you. But if you are not interested in the Razr and only come here to spam and tell half-truths, please stop.

On the parts I bolded... I will say you had a bad RAZR. I have both and you would be surprised how evenly they match up on what I bolded.
Which says alot about both phones. Or you wont havent really tested the reception between the 2 devices in bad reception areas.

Just comparing, the G Nex did have better wifi reception. It wasnt by alot tho. Maybe the further away from the router it woulda been different.

i offered my opinion just like everyone else here and it's as valid as yours. if you don't like it, tough. ;)

utter nonsense with no tangible explanation. my question still stands :cool:

One forum's troll is another forum's fanboy :)

I am a fanboy too: For beer, B Movies, Page 3, Indian & Thai food and old school video games :)

You appear to be a fanboy for the Gnex. It is cool :)

lol i'm not a fanboy of any particular phone. i like my GN, but it's not perfect-no android phone is.

i also mentioned in my original post on this thread that i thought the razr was a good phone too. if someone comes onto the GN forum saying they should trade it for a razr, it's cool. who cares? i'm not going to whine about it.

the OP asked for opinions on swapping his razr for a GN, and that's all i've offered. no more, no less.

Whatever the case, this time last year, there were no really nice devices to get all feudal on. This time last year, I was rocking with my non gps locking, hot running, call quality challenged, low on storage erroring, sucky picture taking, battery draining Incredible. The bar has been risen.

Totally agree man. Though my wife has my old Droid Incredible. Still running strong but its showing its age a bit. Her's is stock though. :(

However she does want a new phone. Not sure if she will want another Android device or switch to a fruit phone. I told her to swing by VZW and check out the Razr, Gnex, and fruit phone. Yeah, in that order. :)

The Incredible is okay if a light user. The Inc spun its head 360 for heavier users, or trying to use GPS... or the camera for things not dead still.

Added:

I can see the appeal of the fruit phone for folks that want a turnkey device.

Yeah she uses it a lot for calls texts and web browsing. But she's not technical.

Fruit phone does have a damn fine screen and nice build quality.

If she likes Sense you should have her take a look at the Rezound. My wife loves her Rezound.

Thought about that, though not sure if she is in love with it.

Is the call quality any better on the Rezound vs. the Droid Incredible? If so, I will let her know.

Thanks.

Probably B+ to B for the rezound. When I was shopping I made numerous test calls from verizon store with both the razr and rezound (and a couple from the nexus) to get opinions from the callee. The callee generally felt the voice was clear but airy/hollow from the rezound and very good from the razr. I only made two calls from the nexus because it had other issues (to me the callee sounded very garbled; but they said I sounded very good - the garbled sound almost had a feel of processing issue not signal issue - hard to explain - but like a stream where the processor is too slow to deal with the data).

Anyways only 1 store let me make out going calls but they had three razr and two rezounds on display - but caveat one location and display models which had verizon demo running in the background. Hum. But the calls were made multiples time over a 2 week period. I also chatted with one of the reviewer and they were not overjoyed with the rezound's call quality - though they were in a weak 4g area and loved the rezound 4g recpetion (over the razr).

Rezound has good call quality.

IMO:

Razr = A+
Rezound = B+... maybe A-
Incredible = C-

I posted my experience in the Nexus verus Razr forums. I traded my Nexus for the Razr. (every phone is different)
