Anyone thinking of upgrading to the Sensation read this

Try it with the desire though - run a wifi signal meter, then put your hand around the back of the phone below the headphone socket (which IIRC would be below the power button on the Sensation). With my finger in the right place on that side of the back I can knock up to 10dBm off my WiFi signal (with the finger between antenna & router).

I don't generally hold it that way when using WiFi, so it's not a problem. But it seems to be qualitatively similar to what people are describing for the Sensation (can't be quantitative without a Sensation to compare with).

You need a signal meter app showing the dBm. Bars can mean anything, and how many you drop depends on how near a threshold you were to start and how wide those particular bars are (they won't all be equal).

lol What the hell! Surely people are overreacting! Lets see if more people complain 1st then it will be a cause of concern until then calm down!!! lol

why would people be overreacting? no one wants to pay a fortune for second rate hardware and design oversight.
its not like its a cheep handheld

What Im trying to say people should hold off geting the handset until its all clear. We need more evidence cos it might be just an isolated incident or a bad batch.

The screen looks really nice in that video. Especially (or maybe because of) the resolution.

As GingaB pointed out, the first 1-2 months are meant to be the initial mass-testing moments, so all kinds of funny things can come out. SGS2 also had an (screen) issue in some batches.

However, Sensation seems to me underpowered compared to SGS2 (from hardware perspective). So, it's kind of hard to go for Sensation if I was going to upgrade...
