I have. Works great but uses a lot of battery.

I also use this app. I do not use it often or very long so, I can not testify to the battery usage mentioned above, but I would just plug it to the charger should I have problems.

Be mindful in the beginning. Are you rooted? A person claimed that while unrooted this app also triggered the stock verizon app which charged them for this hardware feature. Just watch you use closely. I was not able to duplicate this.

Oddly enough, I use the stock one that came with my phone occasionally, and I've never been charged for it.

I use my stock hotspot app for several billing cycles, and I have yet to be charged too. Works well.
