Anyone upgrade Handcent tonight? (3.2.1)

For the ones with the LED not blinking, go to settings and change the LED color to Green, our LED is only Green or red, not pink of blue, I think it defaults to blue or some shit.
Also, since I updated today, my phone is randomly restarting about 10 times today, and sometimes while it is just sitting on the table with nothing being done to it. Ghosts in it I am sure of it.

There is no way to set it as default. All you can do is turn off notifications from the HTC messaging app. If you open up either one, you'll see all your messages. You can set Handcent as the default for certain actions, but there's no way to "disable" the messaging app.

No idea why my LED won't blink... pop up is fine... guess I can uninstall/reinstall.

There has to be default... I didn't say to disable HTC messages. When I use Handcent, it popped out and asked for which one to be defaults, there were two messages ( HTC messages and Handcent ) AND on the bottom, it showed uncheck/check for default. Make sure you check it before you select either one...

If you don't set Handcent as default, then HTC messages will still being a default...

Everyone should be happy to know that the next version will fix this issue and also a couple of EVO specific features will be available. You'll be able to select Green or Amber LED and the blink speed works.... also, the biggest gripe about LED notifications going away after 5 minutes will be gone. The Handcent dev fixed this, for Handcent anyway.

How do I know? Because I emailed the dev about the issues I was having and he gave me a beta version. He said it will be in the market soon if it isn't already.

Kind of yes and no. Certain actions will allow you to set a default program to do them, but saying that Handcent will be the default messaging app is kind of misleading since the default messaging application still has all of your messages when you open it.

Also if you notice, the messaging app is always in memory... there's no way, in my experience anyway, to completely stop the messaging app from doing it's thing. It's probably tied to the OS.

Yes, your right....... when it popped out for asking default, i set Handcent as default and saw messaging still recieved messages but handcent popped to take charges.

When delete messages in handcent, HTC messages disappeared.

I suspect handcent still have bugs, so we might try to configures in HTC messages and see if work in handcent???

Tried that, when I enabled my notifications on the default messaging app, the led lit fine...

The Handcent that's going to be out will fix all of this and more as I mentioned in my previous post... the dev told me he would put it in the Market in 12 hrs (Thursday night), but it seems he hasn't gotten around to it yet.
