Anyone upgraded to the new Galaxy S II?

I just switched from Epic to AT&T SGS2 today, and I freaking love it!!! Not one issue at all. Call quality is great, camera is great.
Only complaints are the lack of LED notification (not sure if sprint's version has it since Epic has it but Captivate does not), and lack of dedicated camera button.

So is battery life a whole lot better with the S2, compared to the Epic?

The only place you're going to suffer with the S2 is using it as a music player. The Yamaha DAC is inferior to the Wolfson, you can't use Voodoo Control (though Neutron makes up for part of VC's functionality) and, in my experience, the audio quality isn't comparable to the original SG.
However, ICS is Amazon's first foray into allowing audio through the USB port. When the SG2 gets ICS, it's very possible we'll be able to use it with a battery-powered USB DAC. If that proves true, then I might well upgrade to an SG2 and use it with some $80 self-powered FiiO USB DAC/Amp.
I'd have wanted a Galaxy Nexus, but the sealed battery/SD card and inferior screen destroy the appeal of instant OS updates. Perhaps Samsung will rediscover audio quality with the GS3 and Apple's aggressive entry into Android's carrier markets.
Decent entry-level audio has always been a feature of the iPhone (and it can use external DACs like Cypher Lab's and Foster's as well). No reason for a hardware master like Samsung to suddenly miss out.
(You'll have to excuse me, because I'm a former full-time studio musician and, now that I'm part-time, I love the sound of the original Galaxy S when rooted with Voodoo and Neutron. I even listen to it with Shure SE535s when I'm stuck in a quiet place.)

Nah.. I love the Epic's keyboard too much to upgrade. It takes too long to use the onscreen keyboard.
The biggest issue I've been reading about at the Sprint forums are people complaining about Loss of Signal. Has a lot of people outraged but I'd love to get my hands on an Epic Touch. Anyone feeling the Christmas Spirit and want to send me theirs? 
I wouldn't mind the Galaxy Nexus (Prime?) either. I'd just like to have a more "Google" family phone. I have a feeling they are going to make sure they get all the updates and others percs. I do think the Epic Touch is the best phone Sprint has, at least when its a working, stable phone. That's just my opinion and especially since the GB update turned my nightmare Epic 4G Failure on Froyo into a much more stable, faster phone. Plus with the Towers fixes they've made in my area I'm getting better data speeds and reception. I'd love to see how the Touch works in my area even though we don't yet have 4G. I also think they should have made two versions of the Touch. One with and without physical keyboard. I really like having the option to use either because I have times when the physical keyboard really does come in handy for me. I also feel they've made one of the best slide out keyboard as in quality also. I've tried others and the just seem kind of wonky.

My husband and I are considering a switch to Sprint (from T-Mobile). We are both not willing to compromise on physical keyboards, so our options are the Epic or Evo Shift. I played around with the Galaxy II S Touch in the store, and while the virtual keyboard is decent for a virtual keyboard, I don't think I can live with it.
So my big question... will we regret getting Epics? They now come factory loaded with Gingerbread, so I'm hoping there won't be the same issues others have had doing the update themselves.

If you really liked the Epic Touch then you will also love the Epic 4G especially since it's coming preloaded with Gingerbread. That update turned my nightmare phone on Froyo into a fantastic phone and I feel like I have a brand new phone. In my experience so far since Nov 9th I have noticed speed increase on data, better reception no issues with my SD card anymore and the random shut downs on its own have been missing which is a good thing. I love the Super AMOLED screen and the Gorilla Glass also which is probably the strongest glass you can get on a cell phone right now and it is very scratch resistant. I even got rid of my screen protector and my screen still looks like brand new. I've dropped it twice from shoulder height and not a scratch, scuff or anything. I know its not indestructible but it is some tough glass. I love the physical keyboard and I've played around with a lot of other brands with the physical keyboard and the Epic's seems like a real solid build and is easy to type with. Doesn't feel all cramped and the built in Swype is fantastic but other great options are SwiftKey X, TouchPal which is like Swype and SwiftKey X combined. There are others but these are my favorites. You do have 14 days at least to test them out so you might as well test the ones you are thinking of getting to get a good feel and make sure you are making a choice you will not regret but I have a feeling you'll be going with the Epic since you like a good physical keyboard. So basically I feel like I paid $1 for both of these great apps.

For those of you that ask how the battery life is compared to regular epic 4g well its a stupid question to ask because you do know theepic 4g touch comes with a bigger 1800 battery.. its a no brainer that 1800 battery would be better as compared to 1500.

So what you're saying is that an extra 300mAh is going to make a huge difference? Seriously think about how many more minutes of power that will actually give you. Not only was your way of making that statement rude your estimation on what an obvious huge difference that small amount of mAh would really make. Try calculating what 300mAh will actually give you extra power on a bigger and more powerful phone.

Battery size is not the only factor affecting battery life. The 4G touch operates more efficiently than the Epic 4G, with its duo core processor, therefore extending battery life.
My niece wants to get away from her provider (Cricket) and come on to my Sprint plan because she wants a nicer phone. I know that Amazon has the Epic 4G Touch for Sprint on a penny deal for adding another phone to a family plan but where I'm losing is that only applies to a new contract. I could have gotten the Touch for a penny and give her my Epic 4G but since I already have an existing contract the price goes up to $129.
Anyone know of a place that has a better deal than that to purchase a phone and adding it to a family plan on Sprint. Not even Sprint has a good deal for me to add her and her son to my plan. Bummer, almost had a Touch in my hands.
