Accessories Anyone using a Capacative Pen

works perfectly. i picked it up so i could write on the screen and to touch tiny icons, etc. this pen does what i need it to. it had the better reviews on amazon and was more recent than the other ones. the fact its was more recent was why this one won over the others..

I've been debating getting one of these..... I just wouldn't know what to do with it when I'm not using it. I'm sure I'll lose it in a months time.

the pens i use have a little piece that you can insert into the headphone port. its a plastic piece that acts as a plug.

it also has a clip on the pen so you can clip it to a shirt, etc. i have had both of these for nearly a month and know exactly where they are. however if you are not used to carrying a pen or if you lose pens frequently, you may lose this one if you dont usually carry such things. i have a carry case so both pens live in there..

the pen i use does not smudge the screen at all. soft rubber tip. i also have a screen cloth to wipe the screen down when i get my fingers to it.. :D so yes if i dont touch the screen with my greasy fingers :) there will be no smudges. smudge count has decreased by 98%! (im dramatic but yes smudges have been reduced)

So, after doing some research and watching many Youtube vids on capacitive pens over the last week...I just ordered the black AluPen. It gets great ratings and the videos of handwriting were very impressive. It is a bit spendy on MSRP ($28)) but I found it on daydeal.com for $20. I use my Xoom as an RN and it has been such a valuable addition (even fits into the pockets of my scrubs). The only thing lacking was using my fat fingers for handwritten note taking. I will update here when it shows up and I put it to the test of speedwriting...:D

I have the Acase pen that Marctronixx linked. Works perfectly for me. I got it just in case I needed to write for some reason. I will use it from time to time if I want to keep the finger prints off the screen or if I'm bored and start doodling.

I have a capacitive stylus, as well. I don't use it all that often, but I like it a lot with GenialWriting for taking notes. Good purchase, imo.

Thanks for the input everyone. My husband picked up a Griffin stylus. It's not bad. I'd like a finer point, but I can't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Well I got my acase stylus today and Wow I am impressed. It works great. I can type alot faster now. Smudges have gone down drastically:) glad I bought one. I am going to buy another and keep in my car. I am also using the stylus on my Evo and it works just as good on my phone

I just got the targus stylus at best buy. I had $15 reward bucks so I had them price match it so I got it for free. The point is solid and rubbery and it glides fairly well. It's great for free, but I think I would pay for something better if I was paying.
