Root Anyone using GV 2.2?

Hey guys

Just wondering whos been using GV 2.2 and if there are any bugs or issues people have noticed? Also general experience compared to other Ginger ROMS

Just downloading now, had a bug since 2.0 where if I forget to turn wifi off before leaving home, whenever I wake the phone from sleep it still has the wifi icon and cant connect to data. Have to switch to 2G then back to 3G in the settings to find one.

Yea I've had that with a few Ginger ROM 'S its a pain in the ass. Latest oxygen has it also.

I've been using GV 2.2 since Saturday night (with mods as below). All seems fine, except that it seems that the USB data connection doesn't work with EViollet's kernels (not tried, but it's been confirmed by a number of people). Problem is specific to these 2.6.35-based kernels - USB transfer works with GV kernels or Vork (tested that one myself, good transfer speeds) - and the dev is aware.

I had the data issue as well, but flashing the 1.4MANU kernel (HAVS-AXI-CFS) solved it for me on GV2.0. Never had the issue again.

I've tried GV since 0.8 and through to the current 2.2, no specific bugs with those versions that I found. I'm not a tester/developer, just a normal user. As this has been my daily driver since rooting I'm going to send Mr. Trip a few beers in the next couple of days as they are long over due.

I've been using gingervillain since about version 1.0 and have found it to be very reliable and bug free,in fact it was the first rom i tried after rooting and tbh i feel no need to try any others because it just works and suits my needs to a tee :)

I was running GingerVillain for a couple of months. Started on v1.6 and then updated to 2.2 when that was released. I had a couple of issues though. Suffered a few FC's after I updated to 2.2, nothing I couldn't live with as it wasn't that often, but still more than I was used to.
Also had a problem where the phone would just lock up every now and again. It was usually on the lock screen or home screen. The phone just wouldn't respond and ultimately I would have to hold down the power button and reboot.
Then last week it locked up and I was unable to reboot via the power button and had to pull the battery. So I decided to change to Oxygen ROM and so far have not had any of the same issues.
